JAAT did well on Monday as it collected 7.25 crore nett to take its five day total to 46 crore nett plus. The film got the benefit of a partial holiday on Monday which enabled the film to collect more than Friday. The film was around 10% higher than Friday and if we take out the holiday factor, it will still be a good hold as collections were possibly around 4.50 crore nett on fair value. Friday was 6.65 crore nett.

Tuesday could see collections hold up above its real value as PVR Inox have started a cheap Tuesday scheme which leaves no option for the other multiplexes but to follow suit. It will be Wednesday when the film will come to its real value. Overall, the film will be having a good week which will be over 55 crore nett and maybe even go close to 60 crore nett.

JAAT continues to be very good in Rajasthan, Delhi/UP and East Punjab while other circuits also hold collections well though at lower levels. Mumbai collections on Monday were very similar to the first day but that first day saw dull collections in Mumbai circuit. The film can prove to be a HIT but a lot depends on the second week and after that. There are big films to come over the next 2-3 weeks which makes things tougher while an open run would have made it easier to keep on adding collections.

JAAT is doing excellent business in Rajasthan as it collects almost 4.75 crore nett in five days. The circuit has a value of around 5% but for JAAT, it is showing a 10% contribution. On the first day, a centre like Jaipur had collected more than a big centre like Mumbai. In fact Jaipur was the second highest collecting city for the film after Delhi.

The film will cover the lifetime numbers of SIKANDAR in just seven days in Rajasthan and it will beat some of the bigger films of last year like FIGHTER and SHAITAAN in this circuit comfortably. The name of the film is helping the film as there is a huge Jaat community in the circuit and its the same in Haryana and UP where the film is also doing fantastic.

UP is a part of Delhi/UP circuit and Haryana is a part of East Punjab. As the other regions of these circuits are not as strong, the circuits numbers don't come out as strong as Rajasthan. If the name of the film has aided the film in these Northern areas, it could be the opposite in western pockets.

The film has a look and feel of a South film and these tend to do well in Maharashtra and Gujarat but here numbers are low and though they are holding well enough, its still at low levels. The name could have something to do with it as the audience here feels that its about a certain community.
