Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has sold a luxury apartment spread over nearly 1,300 sq ft of carpet area in Mumbai’s western suburb Khar West for Rs 9 crores with the transaction registered on Thursday, October 22.
The apartment, located on the ninth floor of a residential building on Main Avenue Road, has a carpet area of 1,291.14 sq ft, along with exclusive areas measuring 95.80 sq ft. The transaction also includes two covered car parking spaces.
The purchaser paid stamp duty of Rs 54 lakh for the transaction, showed the registration documents accessed through CRE Matrix, a realty data analytics platform.
Shroff had originally purchased the apartment from the developer of the project directly in July 2018, for Rs 7.61 crore. He received possession of the property in November 2019.
The latest transaction represents an increase of around 18.3% over the original purchase price. The difference between the two transaction values amounts to approximately Rs 1.39 crore, before accounting for stamp duty, registration charges, maintenance expenses, interiors and other costs associated with the property.
ET’s calls and text messages to Shroff’s team remained unanswered until the time of going to press.
The transaction adds to the activity in Mumbai’s premium residential property market, where apartments in established neighbourhoods continue to attract buyers seeking homes in well-connected locations.
Khar West is an established residential locality in Mumbai’s western suburbs, with access to the Bandra-Kurla Complex business district and other commercial centres.
The transaction highlights resale activity in the city’s upper-end housing market, where properties can change hands several years after their initial purchase.
