ALPHA had a decent first weekend with collections of 33.50 crore nett and it saw normal growth for a film in the action genre which takes an opening. The collections are low for its budget but good going by the expectations of the film pre release. The fact that it has still got an audience in despite the fate WAR 2, which was the last film of the franchise. That was tentpole of the franchise which went wrong and which meant ALPHA being practically written off by the industry.

The reports of the film are also not great due to the relatability factor for the public, but still, it has managed to get a weekend in. The film has scored well in the big centers and South India. The mass pockets saw good growth on Saturday and Sunday but collections still remain low due to the Friday being a low starting point.

The film also shows the public will come even with the online negativity for the film as there is a DIGITAL world and the REAL world and box office goes by the REAL world. This goes for positivity in the digital world as it this can also not convert into box office. The weekend is done but now whether the film has merits to go further remains to be seen.

The three day collections of ALPHA are as follows.
Friday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 11,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 33,50,00,000 apprx
--------------------------------------
ALPHA saw a drop in collections of 58% on Monday as it collected 3.75 crore nett apprx. The fair value drop is probably a little less at around 55% as Maharashtra got hit due to the rains. Mumbai circuit was one of the better performers alongside South and West Bengal. But these things don't matter as you only recover business which gets hit like this if reports are positive which is not the case here.

The film now stands at 37.25 crore nett which is a total that is better than the pre release expectations as it was expected it would not even get here for lifetime collections. However, box office is not about expectations but recovery and the film falls short on that side. There is the discounted tickets on Tuesday which should hold up the collections but that is also being diluted as recent releases have seen minimal jumps on Tuesday as compared to earlier when the offer started.

The plus of the film will be the initial against the backdrop of the franchise being down and the negativity for the film. The film came through all that with flying colours and the actual audience gave it a chance but eventually the content was not good enough.

The four day collections of ALPHA are as follows.
Friday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 11,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 37,25,00,000 apprx
--------------------------------------
ALPHA got some growth on Tuesday which is normal for the Tuesday. The film collected around 4 crore nett which now takes the total of the film to 41 crore nett plus and it should be a first week in the range of 47 crore nett. There is the bad weather affecting the film in the Maharashtra area but even allowing for that, the weekdays business is not good enough.

Eventually, the best collections of the film are going to be in West Bengal, South followed by NCR. The Hindi belt circuits have not done well at all while Mumbai which had a pretty good weekend will now suffer from the weather.  The second Friday will be tough due to a big release like DHAMAAL 4. When there is a big release like this, you need a far better hold on Monday.

The five day collections of ALPHA are as follows.
Friday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 11,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 41,25,00,000 apprx
--------------------------------------
ALPHA had falling collections over the weekdays after a pretty good weekend. This was always likely as the weekend numbers were far stronger than the reports of the film and eventually reports will tell. The film got through the negativity in that the public gave it a chance but the film itself was just not up to the mark.

The film has collected a little over 46 crore nett over the week but the last day of the week was just a little over 2 crore nett which means trouble in week two especially as there is a big release like DHAMAAL 4. The collections of the film were dull across the Hindi belts with a better response in South and West Bengal. The weather was a spoilsport in Mumbai circuit but the losses will be in lakhs as the film had already dropped.

The real killer for the film was WAR 2 as the film was made alongside that film and it was assumed that WAR 2 would be a huge success but it failed badly. If WAR 2 had done as expected, then this film would have been a different proposition as the initial weekend business would have been a lot higher.

The first week collections of ALPHA are as follows.
Friday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 11,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 46,25,00,000 apprx
--------------------------------------
ALPHA also saw a big drop in collections as it collected 1.25 crore nett on its second Friday but this was expected as the film has not been liked. This takes the total of the film to 47.50 crore nett in eight days.
