THAMMA collected 1.75 crore nett on its second Tuesday but now its clear second best to EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT even on the discounted Tuesday when PVR Inox and Cinepolis get most benefit. This is where THAMMA is now clearly doing the bulk of its business. The film stands at around 114.75 crore till date.

The second week has collected 13 crore nett so far and with another two days to go, it should get to a little over 15 crore nett. A film like METRO...IN DINO did 16 crore nett plus and even a disaster like SON OF SARDAAR 2 managed to hit 12 crore nett. THAMMA was an extended first week of ten days but that cant be an excuse for such low second week collections.

It is only because of the Diwali period that the film will come out with better numbers than a film like MUNJYA and scrape through to Average status. A decade or so back there was even totally rejected content like RA.ONE which was a HIT theatrically in terms of collections on Diwali with dates falling correctly. It comfortably surpassed all films of Shah Rukh Khan and was his biggest grosser of that time.

The trend here of THAMMA is very similar to that film as that did 97 crore nett in its extended first nine days and then 15 crore nett in week two. Here it will be 101 and 15 crore nett though obviously 12 years later so footfalls are nothing like RA.ONE.

Saturday - 3,75,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 4,00,00,000 apprx

Monday - 1,25,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 1,75,00,000 apprx

THAMMA now stands at 116.25 crore nett and it will be standing at around 117 crore nett plus after its second week. This number would have looked better outside Diwali but with 23 crore nett coming on the first day itself then a 125 crore nett lifetime figure is disappointing.
