EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT is running well in its second week as it collected a solid 2 crore nett on Tuesday taking its overall collections to almost 70 crore nett. The 75 crore nett mark is now comfortable and it should hit this over the third weekend. The second week collections stand at 12.75 crore nett and it should get over 15 crore nett for the second week.

The film is maintaining well and ahead of THAMMA now and that final target in terms of comparison is probably to go ahead in the PVR chains where it is still behind. In time, it can still happen sometime in the third week. In most of the other chains, its has gone ahead and in most of the circuits it is also ahead now.

The film is already a HIT and will probably emerge a SUPER HIT film if it can go towards the 85 crore nett mark. The holds are good in the core Hindi circuits and it can run well for a few more weeks yet. The film cost around 35 crore to make and release and just the theatrical share in India will be 40 crore or very close. The film is likely to be the third biggest HIT film of the year for original Hindi films after CHHAAVA and SAIYAARA

The collections of EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT and THAMMA went up on Wednesday compared to Monday due to Guru Nanak Jayanti as THAMMA was around 1.50 crore nett apprx and Ek EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT was 1.75 crore nett. EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT has done well on Monday, Tuesday and now on Wednesday.

The collections of this film also shows the benefit of the discounted Tuesday is mainly at the national chains as the ratio for this film went to 50% on Tuesday while Monday and Wednesday is in the 43-45% range. The collections of the film now stand at 71.50 crore nett and although there will be a drop on Thursday the film should be standing at 72.50 crore nett plus after two weeks.
