Jolly LLB 3 released on September 19
Box Office India Trade Network

JOLLY LLB 3 is finishing up with business of 115 crore nett as it stands a little over that mark and will be adding a few lakhs more as it wraps up its run. The film has done decent business but it should have been more as the weekend itself was 50 crore nett and on a good trend. But it could not really go through after the weekend. The film looked on course to be a HIT film over its first weekend but slipped thereafter.

The film scored best in East Punjab netting around 14.50 crore nett which is the range of HOUSEFULL 5 (162 crore all India) while next best was Delhi/UP with a contribution of 35 crore nett. Mumbai circuit let the film down as it could only get 30 crore nett which is less the last part. All the other circuits have seen business go past JOLLY LLB 2 and it is only Mumbai which is behind by 5 crore nett.

This is the general trend in Mumbai circuit where original Hindi films are finding it tough going and this has been seen again with the Diwali releases. Yet, there is THE TAJ STORY which outperforms but this could be because its one of those propaganda type of films all of which have scored very well in the circuit.

The overall performance of JOLLY LLB 3 is down on JOLLY LLB 2 although in terms of collections it will be getting around 8 crore nett more but it is also coming 8 years later. The overseas business is low with £3.5 million which is less than KESARI CHAPTER 2. That film did 90 crore nett in India, that is, 20% less than JOLLY LLB 2. JOLLY LLB 3 will have a worldwide close of around 167 crore.
