EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT collected 3.50 crore nett plus in its third weekend which is a drop from the last weekend of a little over 60% but markets like Delhi/UP and Bihar continue to trend much better. Delhi/UP has been especially strong in the third weekend and its around 40% of the all India collections.

The total collections of the film stand at 76.50 crore nett and the film has crossed the likes of PARAM SUNDARI, SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI, BAD NEWZ and SATYAPREM KI KATHA. JUGJUGG JEEYO and ZARA HATKE ZARA BACHKE are next on the list standing at 78 crore nett and 83 crore nett respectively.

There has been a slowdown in business outside UP and Bihar but that is expected as the film has racked up enough and its not one of those concept type of films which is going to hold up for weeks. The 80 crore nett number is there for lifetime business and if it could hang around for a couple of weeks more, then it could go by a few crores higher.

EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT had a decent third week collecting around 6 crore nett which takes the three week total of the film to 79 crore nett. It should finish over the 80 crore nett mark. It will take a hit this week due to the release of DE DE PYAAR DE and then there is a flow of releases week in week out

This does not matter much as the job is done and 80 crore nett is a very good number for the film as this means the production cost and P&A is more than covered just from the India theatrical business. The share for the film will cross 35 crore. The collections did slow in week three but Delhi/UP continued its superb run.

The film collected a solid 2.25 crore nett in Delhi/UP in week three which takes the circuit total to around 22 crore nett. This is well ahead of the likes of PARAM SUNDARI and SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI which did 12 and 14 crore respectively. The disappointment will be Mumbai circuit as it will close at 21 crore nett but as its small film this does not matter much in the final tally. THAMMA also had a poor run in Mumbai but there it matters as the film has not done its expected business.
