KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 (Hindi) is set to emerge a HIT as collections hold up well on Monday dropping around 25% from the Friday. The film collected around 8.25 crore nett which takes the film to 78.25 crore nett and it can get a good jump on Tuesday due to the cheap rates.

The week is probably heading for a 100 crore nett plus total which is a good number and then it remains to be seen how it goes from there. The 200 crore nett mark is probably tough but the film can have a shot at 175 crore nett.

When the year began, WAR 2 and KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 were probably expected to be the big films of the year and both look like heading for similar totals while CHHAAVA and SAIYAARA emerged as the biggest films of 2015.

KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 will get away with it as compared to WAR 2 as it may not have done as expected but eventually for its budget, these numbers in Hindi are very good and it has sustained. The film has seen strong holds in the South also especially its home market of Mysore/Karnataka which looks on a huge run.

The all India collections on all versions were around 30 crore nett which is a drop of under 50% from the first day. The collections on all versions are 244 crore nett.
