Ahmed Khan’s star-studded directorial venture Welcome To The Jungle is reportedly facing turbulent times. The multi-starrer has apparently hit a series of roadblocks, the latest being financial complications that have reportedly thrown the film’s June schedule into disarray. Featuring an ensemble, including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, and Lara Dutta, was slated for a Christmas 2024 release. Industry insiders suggest unresolved monetary issues are at the heart of the disruption.

However, a source close to the project informed BT that things will be back on track soon. Talking about the reason behind cancellations of the shooting schedule, the source told us, “The team was supposed to begin shooting from June 7 in Kashmir. However, after the Pahalgam terror attack, the team was on the lookout for alternate locations.”

The schedule includes a major climax sequence. “It involves shooting with 200-300 horses. The team has to shoot with army helicopters, fighters and around 1,000 junior artistes. With these logistics, it was tough to relocate quickly. Also, it’s quite a task to get dates of all the main actors for the multi-starrer.”

Talking about the rumours about financial issues being the reason for the delay, the source says, “Money is not the barrier or even a speed breaker here. The shoot will commence only post monsoon in September-October. The film is 70 per cent complete. Only 30 per cent is left, which includes the climax and songs. They will get down to finishing all this soon.”
