Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Stree 2 emerged as the biggest blockbuster of 2024 till date, and after the film’s success, rumours started floating that Rao has hiked his fees by Rs. 5 crore. However, recently the actor dismissed those rumours, admitting that there is no truth to them as he doesn’t want to “burden his producers”.

“I read different figures every day,” he quipped while talking to Indian Express. “I’m not stupid to burden my producers. Being a part of the biggest blockbuster is not going to change me as an actor, money is just a byproduct of my passion. I want to work all my life so I keep looking for roles that surprise me, excite me, challenge and help me grow,” he added.

The actor had three releases this year with Srikanth, Mr and Mrs Mahi and Stree 2. While Srikanth was a success, Mr & Mrs Mahi performed average. However, Stree 2 turned out to be a big success, collecting over Rs. 600 crores at the Indian box office and over Rs. 850 crores worldwide.
