BAD NEWZ had a decent hold on its second Friday considering the competition of DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE as it dropped 25% from Thursday. The drop looked like being more but Mumbai circuit has seen a recovery on the second Friday as Thursday saw very bad rains which kept the figure down and Friday has seen gains in some cinemas.

There was a 30% drop in Delhi/UP but that circuit did very well on Thursday and was well ahead of Mumbai. However, the figures evened up on Friday. The trend over the weekdays was so so after the drop on Monday but the second Friday puts the film in a better spot as the drop would have been pretty minimal if not for DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE. But with this sort of competition for a mainly a high end multiplex films, you take the 25% drop eyes closed.

The film will now have a healthy second week as long as it can consolidate over the weekend and will be a decent runner over the next two weeks or so. The second week will not reach the level of CREW but that was always an unlikely target due to the competition. The main result of the film is that it has sustained well enough post the Monday drop which was on the higher side.
