BAD NEWZ continues decent run on Wednesday as collections edge a little over the 3 crore nett mark at around 3-3.10 crore nett. The film has nearly 40 crore nett up on the board and after Monday, it is holding pretty well but this has to continue. The film needs to get around 60 crore nett or very close in 2 weeks and then it will be a decent success.

The film is not a HIT or anything but being a success is good enough especially for a film with such limited appeal. The problem for BAD NEWZ is not just that it is a metro film but it also goes regional with only really NCR and the A centres of Punjab actually doing good business. There is some support from Bangalore also but the other metros are underperforming. 

The takeaway from the film is the initial as the near 30 crore nett is a result and should instill some confidence in the film industry for the genre. It also shows the huge importance of music which has reiterated again and again as it is what can save films from failing especially in that 50-100 budget range.
