MUNJYA maintained rock steady collections as it picked up 4 crore nett again on Tuesday which is in the same range as Friday and Tuesday. The film now stands at almost 28 crore nett and will be looking at a first of around 35 crore nett.

The film has looks to have the best holds and weekday trends for the year and its all about where the second Friday lands as normally when the holds are this strong, the second Friday should be very close to the Monday and Tuesday numbers and it would be no surprise if the numbers if it gets benefit of the pricing on Friday.

Although its too early to say as there is a long way to go and there are major releases in front of it but this film has the potential to hit the 100 crore nett mark. A film like a MADGAON EXPRESS has managed almost 22 crore nett in Mumbai mainly thanks to Mumbai city, Thane and Pune and here MUNJYA is excellent across the state of Maharashtra. Hence, a 30 crore nett should be a simple task and if its around 35 crore nett or more than that, the 100 crore nett figure can be achieved.

This weeeknd will be interesting with CHANDU CHAMPION and it will be no surprise if MUNJYA is better in the Hindi circuits be Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan or CP, CI.

The collections for MUNJYA till date are as follows.
Friday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 8,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 27,75,00,000 apprx

MUNJYA continues its superb trending at the box office with another 4 crore nett coming on Wednesday which takes the total to almost 32 crore nett and it is a comfortable 35 crore nett plus week. The target now with these sort of holds is to have a second week which is pretty similar to the first week.

FIGHTER and SHAITAAN have the best second weeks this year at around 38 and 37 crore nett respectively. These targets maybe a step too high as they would be more than the first week of the film but when a film is on a run like this, you never write off anything.

The film should go on to become the biggest film post pandemic with a cost lower than 50 crore outside THE KASHMIR FILES and THE KERALA STORY. Those two films are driven by a different sort of elements and hence, cant be bough into the equation. MUNJYA is looking on track towards that 100 crore nett mark or close and that is a huge result for the film.

The collections for MUNJYA till date are as follows.
Friday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 8,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 31,75,00,000 apprx
----------------------------------------
MUNJYA collected a good 36 crore nett its first week as the film held similar collections from Mon - Thu which is simply an outstanding trend. There is a drop on Friday morning compared to Thursday but it should cover as the day goes along especially with the Friday evening crowds.

The film has gone down to the 150 INR rate on Friday which was not needed as the film is hugely accepted but its probably because the new release has the INR 150 rate. As a result, the makers of MUNJYA have done the same to ensure that they don't lose consumers due to pricing. However, it does not work that way as MUNJYA is established now and has a ready audience.

The film will give the new release CHANDU CHAMPION a good run for its money as occupancy is better at places especially the smaller towns and Saturday will be interesting as it could dominate the mass circuits. The film made a collection of around 15 crore nett in Mumbai circuit and for comparison bigger films like BADE MIYAN CHOTE MIYAN and MAIDAAN did 17 and 18 crore nett respectively for lifetime business.
