(Crisp) Movie Review: JORAM by FENIL SETA

Joram stars Manoj Bajpayee and reunites him with Bhonsle director Devashish Makhija. It is the story of a tribal resident on the run. The film has a lot of layers and raises some important issues. At the same time, it has a story to tell and is riddled with some thrilling moments. The second half is engaging but the climax sadly is unjustified and even unimaginative. Manoj Bajpayee, as expected, rocks the show. He and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub both have limited dialogues but they communicate a lot through their expressions. Smita Tambe leaves a mark. Tannishtha Chatterjee is dependable in a cameo. The actors playing Senior Inspector Khatri and Junior Inspector Muchaki are natural. All in all, Joram is worth watching for the performances and realism.
