Baipan Bhari Deva is a Marathi film of six sisters, who can’t see-to-eye, and who come together for a competition. The plot is very interesting and the characters are very well fleshed out. The funny and emotional scenes are aplenty and some of the plot points are very relatable. Many will be able to identify with the goings-on. On the flipside, the direction is not smooth. Some characters appear and disappear all of a sudden. Also, in the first 30 minutes, it can be a bit difficult to remember each and every principal character. Thankfully, the plusses outweigh the minuses as the film scores due to the plot and performances. Moreover, to write such strong roles for 6 main characters is a masterstroke by writer Vaishali Naik. Speaking of performances, Vandana Gupte (Shashi), Rohini Hattangadi (Jaya), Sukanya Kulkarni (Sadhana), Suchitra Bandekar (Pallavi), Shilpa Navalkar (Ketki) and Deepa Parab Chaudhari (Charu) do a fabulous job. It is difficult to pick who was better as all of them have given their 100%. Sharad Ponkshe (Anna), Piyush Ranade (Charu's husband) and others also deliver fine performances. All in all, Baipan Bhari Deva is a complete entertainer.
