ZARA HATKE ZARA BACHKE had a very good second week as it collected 24.50 crore nett. The biggest second week of the year after PATHAAN and THE KERALA STORY is TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR at 24.67 crore nett. It may well be in final collections that ZARA HATKE ZARA BACHKE edges the Ranbir Kapoor starrer out, which was a far bigger film. The two week collections stand at 61 crore nett.

The drop in the second week is only 33% though there was a drop on the last day of the week as that was due to the release of THE FLASH. The drop will be even bigger as ADIPURUSH dominates the market. Although the 70 crore nett mark should not be that hard from here, a lot depends on where the third Friday lands as the drop can be considerable.

But the bottom line is that it hardly matters if the film crosses 70 crore nett or remains a little lower as it is a HIT and is the first of its kind post pandemic. There are other smaller films which are HITS like THE KASHMIR FILES and THE KERALA STORY. But the box office there for both these films was coming from a different prospective all together. ZARA HATKE ZARA BACHKE is the first non big budget film to become a HIT made for entertainment purposes.
