ZARA HATKE ZARA BACHKE has emerged a HIT as it collects 3-3.25 crore nett on its second Friday which is a superb hold as collections are more less similar to the last two days. The film is the first hit since PATHAAN which released five months back in January. Hollywood managed to throw up two HITS with JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 and FAST X in this period but its been a long time coming for Hindi cinema.

The film has collections of 38 crore nett till date and it seems like the film will comfortably cross the 60 crore nett mark. It may even head towards the 70 crore nett mark. It will be week three that will determine its lifetime as ADIPURUSH will cut into the business of the film.

The film is that middle of the road of the cinema and its good news for the industry though if there was no offer of tickets with this film, it would have been better as it would have still done well and there would be no offer or incentive trend to get people into cinemas.

The film also shows the shift in the demographics of the box office as its unlikely that a VICKY DONOR, KAPOOR & SONS, HINDI MEDIUM or NEERJA can do as well today as they did earlier due to the ratio of collections from the five metros centres. But if the A centres like Indore, Lucknow, Bhopal, Jaipur etc drive, there is potential for middle of the road cinema. There is always the overlapping middle class audience in the metros as well. Music becomes the key as its difficult to get the audience in for smaller commercial films in these areas without a Hit song or two.
