'The Kerala Story' Crew Member Provided Security After Threat: Mumbai Cops
Box Office India Trade Network

THE KERALA STORY had an extraordinary hold on Monday with collections being almost 50% higher than the first day and similar to Saturday. There were many centres in mass pockets where the collections were better than Saturday. The film is on a run in Mumbai, Central India, UP, Bihar and Bangalore is also outstanding.

After issues in Tamil Nadu and Kerala the film, was banned in West Bengal and is out of theatres where it was doing extremely well. Irrespective of content, the film was passed by the censor board and so, it should not really be getting banned like this. If a film is to be banned, its down to censor board to not to pass the film and here the green light was given. So, you leave it to the audience.

The film will not have collections from West Bengal but all this does is build more intrigue with the audience and the fear that other states may ban brings more people to the theatres. The film is basically unstoppable and could go anywhere from here. The total on the board is already 43 crore nett and it will be no surprise if the second week is as good as week one or even better and that is with West Bengal out of the equation.

The four day collections of THE KERALA STORY are as follows.
Friday -  6,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 16,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 10,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 43,25,00,000 apprx
