THE KERALA STORY had an excellent weekend of 33 crore nett with outstanding collections on Sunday as mass circuits showed huge jumps. The growth in collections on Sunday is around 50% and that ensures the film is going to sustain at the box office.

Basically when a film grows like this on a Sunday, there is no stopping the film. Even if it was 30% up, that would have meant a strong run but its come out 50%. The collections are superb all over (barring some parts of South India). Mumbai circuit crossed 10 crore nett over the weekend with extraordinary collections in Gujarat/Saurashtra which were around 2 crore nett on Sunday.

The weekend collections of the film are the third best of the year after PATHAAN and KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN and it remains to be seen where it goes. Last year KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) stopped THE KASHMIR FILES from becoming the biggest HIT of the year and this year you have to thank god that PATHAAN has already come. Otherwise, this film would be claiming the title of biggest HIT. The film has been taken out of cinemas in Tamil Nadu though it continues to play in Kerala but these issues hardly matter as the views in the core of India are coming in huge numbers to watch the film.

The three day collections of THE KERALA STORY are as follows.
Friday -  6,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 16,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 33,25,00,000 apprx
