TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR held up well on Tuesday collecting similar to Monday and taking its seven day total to 70 crore nett. The extended first week is looking to be around 79 crore nett which will be a decent number.

The film is being driven by solid results in NCR which is leading Delhi/UP to collect more than Mumbai since Monday and this is despite UP being on the weaker side. The collections of the film show that the genre has become much more niche type now. TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR should have a far wider reach than a film like GULLY BOY but ratios of cities like Baroda, Bareilly, Bhopal types are very similar. Pre pandemic this film would be way ahead of GULLY BOY outside the metros even allowing that content is average.

The film must continue to hold for the next 10-12 days and should become an average success theatrically and the second Friday is crucial as it cannot afford to drop to far from its present levels. The contributions from Delhi/UP and East Punjab are best now. Mumbai city and Pune are good also though the circuit is being let down by a low performance of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
