Following months of allegations and counter allegations, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has reportedly filed a defamation suit before the Bombay High Court against his ex-wife Aaliya Siddiqui and brother Shamasuddin Siddiqui. According to reports, the suit seeks Rs. 100 crores as damages for the alleged defamation and harassment he faced due to misleading claims made by them.

As per reports, the suit requested the court to pass an injunction to permanently restrain the two from defaming the actor, and also withdraw existing comments. Nawaz has also accused his brother of financial fraud while he was managing the actor’s finances, adding that his brother and estranged wife allegedly misappropriated Rs. 21 crores.

Last month, Nawaz had filed a habeas corpus petition, seeking the whereabouts of his children. He recently told the court during a hearing that he will take back the petition if he is allowed to meet his kids. Aaliya is also facing an FIR after a complaint was registered against her by the actor’s family over a property dispute.
