Following a BAFTA campaign in all categories, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt as lead, has officially launching a campaign in major categories for the 95th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and more.

Hollywood trade publication Deadline reported on Friday that the film will be up on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences website this week and will hold screenings in London and Los Angeles. This isn’t Bhansali’s first Oscars rodeo. His 2002 film Devdas was India’s submission to the Oscars that year and was nominated at the BAFTA Film Awards.

Gangubai Kathiawadi’s Oscar push follows the launch of SS Rajamouli’s RRR’s Oscar For Your Consideration (FYC) campaign in October in all categories, including Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actress for Alia.
