DRISHYAM 2 was fantastic in week two with collections of 57.50 crore nett which is a post pandemic record for original Hindi content beating the 50 crore nett of BRAHMASTRA, 49 crore nett of BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 and the 45.50 crore nett of SOORYAVANSHI. Also the numbers of these films have been beaten comfortably and today any upward trend in business is good news. The two week business of the film is 160 crore nett

The collections are lower than THE KASHMIR FILES but this film is kept aside for comparisons as the box office is not organic like the films mentioned above. This is not to say the film would not have put up good numbers without corporate and individual sponsors but they would be far lower. DRISHYAM 2 will have have a chance to record better collections than this film also in week three as this sponsored support for THE KASHMIR FILES was less in week three and even less in week four and then faded away after that.

The second week collections of DRISHYAM 2 are also the second highest ever for an Ajay Devgn starrer after TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR, beating the 46 crore nett in GOLMAAL AGAIN comfortably. In terms of all time second week business, it is the 16th highest ever beating the likes of BAJIRAO MASTANI, SULTAN, GOOD NEWWZ and HOUSEFULL 4.
