AN ACTION HERO had a very poor weekend of a little over 5.50 crore nett. The film has managed to collect a little more than ANEK despite a lower first day as the growth on Saturday was much better. But that is hardly a consolation with these sort of low collections.

Simply put you cannot make an action film which does not appeal to the mass circuits as the urban crowd will be limited unless its more of a concept thriller where this crowd may come out through word of mouth. The film failed to push up much on Sunday due to the lack of mass patronage.

The weekend numbers for AN ACTION HERO are as follows.

Friday - 1,25,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 2,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 2,35,00,000 appex

BHEDIYA (Hindi) could not do much in the second weekend collecting a low 8.75 crore nett plus and taking its total to 46.50 crore nett. The drop is 65% plus from the first weekend. There was a good jump on Saturday but with poor performance in Hindi circuits. the numbers on Sunday are not going to do much.

The Saturday jump does ensure the film will get over 50 crore nett and should get there by the end of the week. There is another open week to follow which should enable to film to get some more business in before AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER and CIRKUS arrive.
