DRISHYAM 2 racked up a fantastic third weekend which was the highest post pandemic for an original Hindi film with only the dubbed films KGF - CHAPTER 2 and RRR collecting better. But DRISHYAM 2 is getting closer and closer to these big dubbed films every day in terms of daily collections and may well soon be challenging these films, especially RRR.

DRISHYAM 2 collected 22 crore nett over its third weekend which has taken the film to 182 crore nett and is now ahead of BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 although it is behind that film in many circuits like Delhi/UP, Rajasthan and CI as BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 was more commercial. But the big difference is Mumbai circuit where DRISHYAM 2 could do 30-35 crore nett more that will be the difference between the two films.

There does seem to be a better feel to the box office now as far as the weekend audience goes and this film seems to benefitting from that but the real difference between this film and the other releases post the pandemic is the appreciation that the film is getting in Maharashtra. There have not been many original Hindi films which have worked here as BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 and BRAHMASTRA could have been better while SOORYAVANSHI was probably held back by the capacity issues though Gujarat made up for that so a big total came in Mumbai circuit.
