Thank God (Diwali) Trailer: Ajay Devgn As Modern Day Chitragupt Is Sidharth Malhotra's Worst Nightmare
Box Office India Trade Network

THANK GOD was down again Friday as it collected only 2.75 crore nett taking its total to 20 crore nett over its first four days and these collections are too low for the Diwali period. The film is basically done now as even a lift on Saturday will keep the film at low levels and its not certain much of a jump will come anyway.

The film should have done better but the public has not really come as it did not even get into double digits on day one despite it being a major holiday. The film was not an outright comedy and the audience saw that. If this film was an outright mass comedy, it would have got much better collections. That is not to say it would have worked as that depends on the film but a mass comedy on Diwali with face value will always have good collections at least over the Diwali holiday period.

The first four day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
TOTAL - 20,00,00,000
-----------------------------------
THANK GOD also a jump on Saturday showing a similar trend to RAM SETU. The collections of THANK GOD were 3.25 crore nett and it has taken its six day total 23.25 crore nett.

The first five day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
TOTAL - 23,25,00,000
-----------------------------------
THANK GOD had a dull extended weekend of six days with collections of 26.75 crore nett and with Sunday collections of just 3.50 crore nett there is not much to expect from Monday as the Sunday number is low.

There was the cricket match affect on Sunday but that hardly matters as it would have made little difference to the outcome of the film. The film has not performed even decent business anywhere despite the Diwali period.

The mass audiences just never came out for the film and the concept probably holds little appeal for the urban youth. The film has managed around 4 crore nett plus in Gujarat/Saurashtra in six days and this would be a respectable collection if it came outside Diwali.

The first six day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
Sunday - 3,50,00,000
TOTAL - 26,75,00,000
-----------------------------------
THANK GOD collected 1.25-1.50 crore nett on Monday which means a first week (7 days) of 28 crore nett. The Monday collections means the run is almost at an end as the extended first week is looking to be around 31.50 crore nett and there cannot be much expected post the extended first week.

The film could end up with a lifetime total of around 35 crore nett which is a very poor result for a Diwali release though how bad it really is can be put into perspective that it will do better than both the Eid releases HEROPANTI 2 and RUNWAY 34. So it may well be par for the course at the moment when a mid level film gets rejected even on a holiday.

The first week collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
Sunday - 3,50,00,000
Monday - 1,35,00,000
TOTAL - 28,10,00,000
