RAM SETU collected around 6 crore nett on Friday which is a further 30% drop from Thursday but business did hold a bit better in the bigger centres while there was more of a drop in mass pockets. This is because the Diwali affect slowly wares down.

The total collections of the film are now 40 crore nett which is on the lower side and it needs a good upturn on Saturday if it is to have any chance of getting a run from Monday. It could be hard to have major growth as mass pockets which are helping the film may not push up much on Saturday if at all.

The film fell 25-30% each day after the first day but it needed to hold without a drop on one of these days to put a different picture to the box office of tis but for that you needed reports on side. Friday has also seen the first drop in Gujarat but collections still remain good there.

RAM SETU stopped its downward trend as collections went up around 20% with the film collecting 7.25 crore nett and taking its overall total to 47.50 crore nett. There was some solid growth in the bigger centres of 35% plus but collections in mass centres which were boosted by Diwali period saw very limited growth, if any.

The film should continue its upward trend on Sunday as Gujarat/Saurashtra should jump well as the Sunday also falls into its holiday period. The issue will come on Monday as Friday had low collections and Monday is the seventh day of the film and all the Diwali boost will be gone.

RAM SETU grossed a low 55 crore nett over its six day extended weekend as the film could not really sustain after a pretty good opening day. There were always going to be drops post the big Diwali holiday and they were always on the higher side but the real issue was that the film could not come back over the weekend.

The growth on Sunday is limited for all films due to the big India v South Africa cricket match but even allowing for that it needed a trend where the collections could get back to 11-12 crore nett on Sunday and that was never on the cards after Saturday. The film has decent numbers in pockets, Gujarat/Saurashtra has grossed around 11 crore nett, Rajasthan is around 4.20 crore nett and CI is 2.65 crore nett  These numbers are best of 2022 outside the HIT films (THE KASHMIR FILES, BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 and BRAHMASTRA).

The issue becomes when Sunday is under 8 crore nett there is not much hope for a decent number on Monday. The holiday factor will also be totally gone on Monday.

RAM SETU collected a low 2.75-3 crore nett on Monday which is a 50% drop from Friday but that hardly matters as that Friday was low. The first week (7 days) collections of the film are 58 crore nett and the extended week should be going to around 65 crore nett.

The film continued to behave better in mass pockets post the holiday period be it Gujarat/Saurashtra, Rajasthan or UP but over the holiday period these places actually had good collections but now despite being better these collections cant be called good or even decent.

The second week will see limited collections and the film could struggle to add 10-15 crore nett after its first week as low occupancy on Monday will mean a huge reduction of shows in week two.
