THANK GOD had a very poor first week as it collected 31.20 crore nett over its 13 day extended first week. The collections have fell below the 1 crore nett mark on the last day of its extended week which mean very limited business after the first week.
The collections of the film will be better in Mumbai and Delhi/UP as Mumbai circuit got the benefit of Diwali period in Gujarat while in Delhi/UP the state of UP has good collections for a few days around Diwali. But these better numbers have come because of the period only and to really benefit the film should also have the content which is not the case here.
The collections of THANK GOD till date are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
Sunday - 3,50,00,000
Monday - 1,35,00,000
Tuesday - 1,20,00,000
Wednesday - 1,00,00,000
Thursday - 90,00,000
TOTAL - 31,20,00,000

RAM SETU continued to go down on day eight and the film has now collected 60 crore nett with extended first week heading to around 64.50 crore nett.
The second weekend will tell its lifetime collections but with Tuesday just a little above 2 crore nett, there is little chance of the film collecting anything much over the second weekend.
The collections of RAM SETU till date are as follows.
Tuesday - 15,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 11,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 8,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 7,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 2,85,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 60,35,00,000 apprx
THANK GOD is also continuing its dull run at the box office with poor collections.

THANK GOD was down again Friday as it collected only 2.75 crore nett taking its total to 20 crore nett over its first four days and these collections are too low for the Diwali period. The film is basically done now as even a lift on Saturday will keep the film at low levels and its not certain much of a jump will come anyway.
The film should have done better but the public has not really come as it did not even get into double digits on day one despite it being a major holiday. The film was not an outright comedy and the audience saw that. If this film was an outright mass comedy, it would have got much better collections. That is not to say it would have worked as that depends on the film but a mass comedy on Diwali with face value will always have good collections at least over the Diwali holiday period.
The first four day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
TOTAL - 20,00,00,000
-----------------------------------
THANK GOD also a jump on Saturday showing a similar trend to RAM SETU. The collections of THANK GOD were 3.25 crore nett and it has taken its six day total 23.25 crore nett.
The first five day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
TOTAL - 23,25,00,000
-----------------------------------
THANK GOD had a dull extended weekend of six days with collections of 26.75 crore nett and with Sunday collections of just 3.50 crore nett there is not much to expect from Monday as the Sunday number is low.
There was the cricket match affect on Sunday but that hardly matters as it would have made little difference to the outcome of the film. The film has not performed even decent business anywhere despite the Diwali period.
The mass audiences just never came out for the film and the concept probably holds little appeal for the urban youth. The film has managed around 4 crore nett plus in Gujarat/Saurashtra in six days and this would be a respectable collection if it came outside Diwali.
The first six day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
Sunday - 3,50,00,000
TOTAL - 26,75,00,000
-----------------------------------
THANK GOD collected 1.25-1.50 crore nett on Monday which means a first week (7 days) of 28 crore nett. The Monday collections means the run is almost at an end as the extended first week is looking to be around 31.50 crore nett and there cannot be much expected post the extended first week.
The film could end up with a lifetime total of around 35 crore nett which is a very poor result for a Diwali release though how bad it really is can be put into perspective that it will do better than both the Eid releases HEROPANTI 2 and RUNWAY 34. So it may well be par for the course at the moment when a mid level film gets rejected even on a holiday.
The first week collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
Sunday - 3,50,00,000
Monday - 1,35,00,000
TOTAL - 28,10,00,000

THANK GOD is struggling at the box office as it collected 4 crore nett on its third day. The collections have come down to low levels and it will be tough to get back up to decent numbers from here unless it can really surprise on Saturday at the multiplexes.
The killer was that sub 10 crore nett number on day one as after day one the drops were always going to come. Here the best performance is also Gujarat but this film had a 20% ratio in Gujarat as compared to 27% of RAM SETU.
The three day total of the film is 17.25 crore nett and there is likely to be another drop on Friday which leaves it with low weekend numbers also unless there is some Saturday pick up.
The first three day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,00,00,000
TOTAL - 17,25,00,000

THANK GOD collected around 7.50 crore nett on its first day which is a fair number for the film but it had to be more due to the Diwali holiday. If it was not the big holiday, then this would be a solid start. There are some decent numbers in places like UP, Gujarat, Rajasthan and CI but the holiday is taking numbers in these places to decent levels rather than good levels.
The film was second fiddle to the bigger film RAM SETU in all circuits but it could have have been closer in some areas if it was a mass comedy. But it came out more of a family entertainer which held back collections in mass pockets as RAM SETU was the first choice. There could have been more penetration in mass markets if it was promoted as a two hero films also but Ajay Devgn was missing in promotion which made it look like it was a guest role from him.
THANK GOD should keep on collecting well over the Diwali period especially in the Hindi circuits but these collections will generally be coming because of the holiday factor and it remains to be seen how the lower collecting areas like East Punjab, Maharashtra and West Bengal can hold as even with the holiday, they have not collected much.
----------------------------------
THANK GOD collected a 5.75 crore nett on its second day which is a low collection but pretty much on the expected lines as there was always going to be drop post the Diwali day holiday. The problem is not the second day business but more so the number it picked up the first day. The drop on day two was around 25%.
The film has strong holds in the holiday areas which is the case with all films playing and it has even actually improved collections in some centres of Gujarat and UP. But where there is no holiday, the film has seen drops of 40%.
The two day total of the film is 13.25 crore nett and it is likely to see further drops over the next two days as each day, the holiday factor gets lesser and lesser. Then on Saturday, there could be an upturn but it will be at multiplexes if the upturn comes.
The first two day collections of THANK GOD are as follows.
Tuesday - 7,50,00,000
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000
TOTAL - 13,25,00,000
