Action done, now comedy for Shah Rukh Khan

After discussions for over two years, Rajkumar Hirani finally took his yet-untitled next with Shah Rukh Khan on floors yesterday. The social comedy, reportedly revolving around immigration, sees Taapsee Pannu as the leading lady. Sources say that the director commenced the shoot at Film City yesterday, canning scenes featuring Pannu.

A source from the unit revealed, “Hirani was at the set early in the morning, and began filming at 9 am. He had lined up Taapsee’s scenes as Shah Rukh was busy with Atlee’s film. The superstar, however, dropped by at 4 pm to meet the team. He will join the unit from Saturday.”

Over the past 10 days, Khan was filming south director Atlee’s next in Kalina.

With Friday marking a wrap on the actioner, the actor will switch gears to comedy today. The source adds, “The production team has built a set of a Punjab village. The cast and crew will shoot at this location over the next fortnight. Hirani will film in different parts of Mumbai before heading out on an outdoor schedule in London and Budapest.”
