The Tamil film BEAST did fair business on day two in Tamil Nadu as it collected around 16-17 crore nett to take its two day total to around 43 crore nett. There is a 40% drop on the second day but still the numbers are pretty good. The issue is it wont be going anywhere in the long run like most of these big Tamil films recently. 

KGF - CHAPTER 2 which is second best to BEAST in Tamil Nadu in terms of collections was doing better occupancy in many centres. So it will eventually prove competition for BEAST and take shows which means further drops are on the cards.

The film also had a Hindi version called RAW which was a pointless exercise but in the South they all probably believe this so called pan India story and all want to be a part of it. So, you get these sort of films releasing in Hindi also which look very bad from the trailer itself and collections reflect that. The second day collections of the film are 15-20 lakhs nett taking its two day numbers to around 75-80 lakhs nett. The huge drop is due to the release of KGF - CHAPTER 2 but even if it did not come you take a 40-50% drop instead of a 70-80% drop..

Like VALIMAI, this film also had these huge inflated 38 and 40 crore numbers doing the rounds and as the film releases in a Hindi many people in the industry also get these numbers and despite most take them for what they are, there is still some doubt it can be true. Its weird these numbers don't even come from the producers but its just fanboys or some nuisance factors and its been happening since ages. Still in todays age of social media they reach the industry.
