PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) had another super strong New Years Day as its collections went to 6 crore nett and a running total of 56 crore nett. The film took huge benefit of New Years  Day as even mass circuits went crazy. Most circuits having their best day since release. The jump is around 80% on Saturday.

A circuit like CI went to 30 lakh plus on Saturday which is phenomenal and UP is now showing huge collections as Delhi/UP collected almost 1 crore nett without cinemas of Delhi city. The collections in Gujarat/Saurashtra are simply extraordinary and the response this hero Allu Arjun is getting is probably like never before for a South Indian actor.

The film is looking a sure shot BLOCKBUSTER as long as cinemas remain open for the next 7-10 days.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 has become the seventh South India film in history to crooss the 200 crore nett with BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION leading the pack with a total of more than 1100 crore. PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 has also become the highest grossing film in India in terms of NETT collections as it goes ahead of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME which is a little short of 200 crore nett after seventeen days.

In terms of GROSS collections, SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME still leads the pack as it has 255 crore against the 238 crore of PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 but the way the latter is going in Hindi, it should have the highest GROSS numbers also in the long run. There are five films from Telugu cinemas and two from Tamil cinema to cross the 200 crore nett mark, with the first coming in 2010 with ENDHIRAN. That film was the highest grossing film in India at the time in terms of NETT collections.

Generally all these films released in many languages barring ALA VAIKUNTHAPURRAMULOO which released in Telugu only and just about squeezed out a 200 crore nett total but for a single language film this is a huge number for a South film. PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 should cross the 250 crore nett mark if cinemas stay open to become the fifth highest grosser from South India
