PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) scored an extraordinary third week grossing 24.50 crore nett apprx and taking its three week total to 71.50 crore nett. The final third week collections could come higher than the second week of '83 which is a far bigger film for the Hindi circuits. 

The film has shown a jump of 20% from the second week as it became the first choice film against '83 and SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME in many circuits. In Gujarat the film was way ahead of the competition and its a similar story in Maharashtra outside Mumbai and Pune.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) will now easily dominate the box office till cinemas stay open or till new films release. This does not mean the film will continue to hold up as strongly as the last two weeks as eventually there will be some fatigue in the business as the huge appeal is in a certain region and a certain demographic. There is an outside chance of 100 crore nett business if cinemas in Maharashtra and Gujarat stay open over the next few weeks.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) continued to hold collections very well on Wednesday and took its twenty day total to around 70 crore nett. The film is now basically doing all its business in Hindi as the collections in rest of the country in all the formats is hardly 75 lakhs nett. 

The third week will close at a crazy 24.50 crore nett which will be among the top thirteen third weeks of all time and the second highest ever for a dubbed South film. The third week numbers will be better than BAAHUBALI 2: THE BEGINNING.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) will close at around 72 crore nett after three weeks and it will be going into week four with strong collections as the competition of '83 and SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME has been left well behind now. The biggest fear for collections going forward are restrictions and lockdowns especially if they come in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The film just needs these two states to stay open and it can collect for weeks and weeks until new films start to release.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) remained steady on its third Tuesday with collections close to 2.50 crore nett. The film has now gone ahead of of its second week number in just 5 days of its third week. The total collections of the film are now over 67 crore nett.

The film is holding up very well across the country be it at low levels or the huge business in Maharashtra and Gujarat but restrictions are coming and this will probably not let the film hit the 100 crore nett mark. Bihar will see a shutdown today as the orders came yesterday. So Bihar circuit will show collections just from the Jharkhand side.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) has around 65-70% of its business coming from Maharashtra and Gujarat. So as long as these places stay open, business will continue to come though its very likely that Maharashtra cinemas will close within the next week or so.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) had an excellent hold on its third Monday as it dropped around 25-30% from the third Friday to collect 2.50 crore nett plus. Monday saw the end of Christmas holiday period but the film pretty much carried on as normal and showed a normal trend while the other releases '83 and SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME dropped more.

The film has now collected around 65 crore nett and is heading for a third week total of 24-25 crore nett which is an extraordinary third week number and the highest of the year. It will be the highest third week number since TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR. Even if we go back to to 2019, then there were only two better third weeks than PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) and they were URI and KABIR SINGH.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) is now scoring over '83 (Hindi) at practically every centre in India. Even in Mumbai city, the two films have similar collections and it is its a matter of time before PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) starts to lead in the Maximum City. The film is set to cross the 90 crore nett mark as long as cinemas stay open in Maharashtra and Gujarat and it has a shot at 100 crore nett as well.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) scored an excellent third weekend of over 15 crore nett which is more than its second weekend and has taken its overall total to over 62 crore nett. The film is doing phenomenal business in Maharashtra, Gujarat/Saurashtra and Odisha with the latter looking to surpass SOORYAVANSHI in the long run.

Gujarat/Saurashtra is extraordinary also as collections on Saturday and Sunday topped the 1 crore nett mark and the weekend saw the film do double the collections of '83 in Gujarat/Saurashtra. The other circuits are lower in comparision but they are steady and doing business which is in pretty much in the range of its first weekend.

This film will get the biggest benefit of the postponement of RRR and will continue to do strong business as long as Maharashtra and Gujarat stay open. If we take the business outside South as PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) has hardly any business there, then it has collected more than '83 in the third weekend.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) had another super strong New Years Day as its collections went to 6 crore nett and a running total of 56 crore nett. The film took huge benefit of New Years  Day as even mass circuits went crazy. Most circuits having their best day since release. The jump is around 80% on Saturday.

A circuit like CI went to 30 lakh plus on Saturday which is phenomenal and UP is now showing huge collections as Delhi/UP collected almost 1 crore nett without cinemas of Delhi city. The collections in Gujarat/Saurashtra are simply extraordinary and the response this hero Allu Arjun is getting is probably like never before for a South Indian actor.

The film is looking a sure shot BLOCKBUSTER as long as cinemas remain open for the next 7-10 days.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 has become the seventh South India film in history to crooss the 200 crore nett with BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION leading the pack with a total of more than 1100 crore. PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 has also become the highest grossing film in India in terms of NETT collections as it goes ahead of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME which is a little short of 200 crore nett after seventeen days.

In terms of GROSS collections, SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME still leads the pack as it has 255 crore against the 238 crore of PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 but the way the latter is going in Hindi, it should have the highest GROSS numbers also in the long run. There are five films from Telugu cinemas and two from Tamil cinema to cross the 200 crore nett mark, with the first coming in 2010 with ENDHIRAN. That film was the highest grossing film in India at the time in terms of NETT collections.

Generally all these films released in many languages barring ALA VAIKUNTHAPURRAMULOO which released in Telugu only and just about squeezed out a 200 crore nett total but for a single language film this is a huge number for a South film. PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 should cross the 250 crore nett mark if cinemas stay open to become the fifth highest grosser from South India

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) had a phenomenal third Friday with collections in the 3.25-3.50 crore range which is similar business to its first day. The film in Hindi is now collecting better than SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME and will soon overtake '83 if cinemas stay open.

The film has gone past the 50 crore nett mark and you cant even write off 100 crore nett at the moment depending on the markets remaining open. The film may well turn out to be a BLOCKBUSTER in the long run. The collections of the film have jumped around 30% which is partly due to New Years Eve but more down to the film being loved by audiences in certain regions. This is the genuine love and not the fake love and acclaim which others are themselves giving.

The trend of the film is simply extraordinary and proves if the content is liked, then nothing can stop a film, not even Covid-19 as long as the cinemas stay open then audiences will come for a good film.
