Mouni Roy tied the knot with Dubai-based businessman Suraj Nambiar in Goa yesterday. The wedding festivities took place over two days — January 26 and 27. While the haldi and mehendi ceremonies took place on Wednesday, the wedding yesterday had Mouni dressed as a South Indian bride.

Suraj is a South Indian, and the couple wanted their wedding to be a mix of Bengali and South Indian rituals. Mouni wedding ensemble included a red sari with a white blouse and traditional gold jewellery with gajras in her hair, while Suraj wore a kurta and mundu.

Arjun Bijlani and his wife Neha, Mandira Bedi, Aashka Goradia and Karishma Modi Chandhoke were among the guests present for the celebration. As per buzz, a reception party was planned to take place in Mumbai a few days after the wedding, but the couple had to cancel it because of the Coronavirus pandemic-led restrictions.
