Actor Dulquer Salmaan announced on Thursday that he has tested positive for Coronavirus. This comes just a few days after his father, veteran star Mammootty shared on social media that he, too, had contracted the virus.

Taking to Instagram, the Kurup (2021) star shared his health update. He wrote, “I have just tested positive for Covid-19. I’m isolating at home and have mild flu symptoms, but am otherwise ok... This pandemic is not over and we must stay vigilant. Please mask up and stay safe (sic).”

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor’s upcoming film, Salute, was pushed due to the surge in the number of Covid-19 cases. It was scheduled to release on January 14.

Another celeb down with Covid-19 is wife of former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, actor Geeta Basra.

On Friday, she informed her fans of her diagnosis on Instagram. She posted, “After being so careful and trying to dodge this damn thing for 2 years, the virus finally caught us (sic),” she wrote. Alongside the update, she posted a picture of her resting on the bed.
