BUNTY AUR BABLI 2 was flat on day two as the collections fell a little in North India but were up a little in the West, East and South. This is pretty much expected as it had around 40% collections from North India on day one and they were always going to be less on Saturday due to the first day holiday factor.

Films with Rani Mukerji in recent times have opened very well in West Bengal but this film was 65% less than the likes of HICHKI and MARDAANI 2 in West Bengal due to flavour of the film and the film being more of an ensemble rather than a Rani Mukerji film.

The film is not going anywhere and although good growth on Sunday will mean nothing for BUNTY AUR BABLI 2, it would be a good sign for the industry if this sort of film can also get a good jump on Sunday. Sunday has seen strong growth generally post the pandemic and if a rejected urban film can go 25-30% higher on a day dominated by the Hindi circuits, it would be great sign for the industry as a whole.
