In July, actor Geeta Basra and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh welcomed their son, Jovan Veer Singh Plaha. While they have shared pictures of the family with the baby, they have refrained from revealing his face. “It’s a conscious decision to keep him away from the public eye. I did that when my daughter, Hinaya, was born, too. Jovan is a baby and I don’t think it is required to bring him before the world. Going further, we won’t have a choice, but I want to keep him away for as long as things are in my control,” shares Basra.

What further reinforced their decision was a paparazzi incident that took place a few years ago. She reveals, “We had gone to the Golden Temple and were surrounded by the media who wanted to click Hinaya. She was scared and petrified, and started crying. We had to leave, as we didn’t have a choice.”

With conjectures doing the rounds that the third wave might affect kids, Basra is leaving no stone unturned to keep them safe. “With a newborn in the house now, I will have to be even more cautious. I am very careful about who I meet. Harbhajan isn’t here and I’m alone with my two children. I can’t take any risk right now,” she concludes.
