Madalsa Sharma Chakraborty, who plays Kavya in Anupamaa, has been shooting outside Mumbai for the past few weeks. The unit of the show moved to this new location after the shooting came to a halt in Maharashtra owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. Talking about it, Madalsa says, “I feel fortunate to be working considering the current situation in the country. The new location and set-up are beautiful. Most importantly, we’re following all safety protocols, being as careful and responsible as we can and taking all the necessary precautions.”
But staying away from family is never easy. She agrees, “Yes, staying away from family is the biggest challenge and I miss going back home after work. I miss my family very much. They are extremely concerned not just for my health and safety, but my entire team’s health as well. I update my family from time to time and assure them that everything is being managed well by our production team. All safety protocols are followed and taken very seriously. Our team hasn’t left any stone unturned when it comes to our well-being and safety.”
She adds, “I understand the situation and pray for things to get back to normal as soon as possible. My heart goes out to the people who are suffering during this time and I wish that the situation returns to normalcy. I request everyone to mask up, sanitise and be careful not just for yourself, but for those around you, too.”
