Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan welcomed their second bundle of joy yesterday morning. The couple was blessed with a baby boy. Kareena was reportedly taken to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai on Saturday, and she delivered via C-section in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Talking exclusively to BT, Kareena’s father, actor Randhir Kapoor, said, “Both Kareena and the baby are doing fine. I have not seen my grandson yet, but I have spoken to Kareena, and she told me she’s alright and the baby is healthy, too. I am very happy, in fact, over the moon to become a grandfather again. I am eager to see the little one and am praying for his well-being.”

Taimur, Kareena’s firstborn, is a little over four years old now and was born at the same hospital. Talking about how Taimur has taken the news of finally becoming bade bhaiyya, Randhir said, “He’s delighted. He is very happy about having a little brother. Saif is extremely excited, too. I just bless them all.”

Saif, as Bombay Times had reported, will be on paternity leave until the end of March. He will start shooting for Adipurush, Om Raut’s next, after March 25. Kareena, on the other hand, had completed all her pending film shoots before the pregnancy progressed. However, like her previous pregnancy, she was actively working throughout her term this time, too. The couple also moved into their new home recently, which already has a little nursery waiting to welcome baby number two.
