Jackie Shroff spent the first 45 days of the lockdown at his farm; now, daughter Krishna has flown off to Sydney to meet beau Eban

Krishna Shroff’s travel diaries hit a bump when the pandemic forced her to cut short a two-month trip to Dubai and Mizoram, and return home a day before the Coronavirus lockdown was announced, with boyfriend Eban Hyams. After spending some weeks with her family in Mumbai, Eban flew home once travel restrictions were relaxed. On July 15, a lovelorn Krishna air-dashed to Sydney to be with her beau. “I was exempt from the travel ban since I’ve been with Eban, who is an Australian citizen, for over a year,” she shares, adding that Sydney is doing a lot better than Mumbai in terms of getting back to “normal”.
“It’s a lot easier to move around here and do things. As their population is a lot less than ours, cases are fewer and under control,” she points out, adding that she is getting to express her love for fitness more freely too. “Not just gyms, Sydney also has a lot of outdoor space for a great workout. One of our most favourite and hardest workouts is to run in the sand dunes. If you think you’re fit, doing this can be a reality check.”
When Krishna was at home with mom Ayesha and brother Tiger Shroff, dad Jackie was stuck in their farmhouse outside of Lonavala. “Dad came back home after 45 days looking 10 years younger,” she asserts, saying the lockdown gave them a chance to revisit their childhood with board games, classic films and dinners together. “Nights were my favourite time of the day, for sure,” she exults.
The supremely fit sibling duo even motivated their parents to join them. “Dad imbibed it naturally while at the farm. Seeing the drastic change in himself motivated him. I found a new workout partner in my mom, who has got back into her fitness routine and is absolutely killing it. Not many are good enough training partners to me but she keeps up,” Krishna applauds. On June 5, Jackie and Ayesha brought in their wedding anniversary and the latter’s birthday with a day-long feast of their favourite food and lots of cake, without the guilt.
Ayesha was chilled out about Krishna’s decision to travel abroad in the present scenario while Jackie was the typical worried dad. “I understand the virus is dangerous, but I wasn’t ready to stop living my life. I’m carrying on with the right precautions,” she maintains.
Going by Ayesha’s social media account, the mother was over the moon having her kids together. Krishna, too, enjoyed her time with Tiger considering he has been extremely busy since he entered the industry. “We’ve always been extremely close and this just gave us reason for a million more laughs. Not everyone knows this, but my brother is actually one of the funniest persons. I don’t miss too many people, but he tops the list of the ones I do,” she confides. With Raksha Bandhan around the corner, what are their plans? “I’ve left a rakhi back at home for him, and now I’m looking forward to my present,” she signs off with a chuckle.
