Now that the country is in unlock mode, Taimur Ali Khan and Inaaya Naumi Kemmu might not have to wait longer for their play date. The cousins, who are extremely fond of each other, have been missing their regular game sessions. However, just like their parents, Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kunal Kemmu-Soha Ali Khan, the little ones, too, have stayed in touch over video calls. Kunal, who organises these virtual bonding sessions, says, “Technology has helped them stay in touch with each other. They love chatting over video calls. The conversations are mostly gibberish, and a little about what they are doing at home (laughs!).”
When asked how this homebound phase was for Soha and him, Kunal says, “Soha and I are compatible with each other. We had lived together for a few years before we got married. So, we know and understand each other very well.” And the actor adds that he also has his daughter Inaaya to thank for keeping them positive in these times. “She is one of the reasons we are in a good space, mentally. She has brought so much joy into our lives. On her part, Inaaya is happy that we are always at home,” says Kunal.
Interestingly, he tells us how even kids, in their own way, are aware of the pandemic. So, every time Kunal teases Inaaya about stepping out, she has a warning for him. “She has learnt the word, Coronavirus. She also knows that people are staying at home because of it. So, every time I tell her that I want to step out, she says, ‘You can’t, there is Coronavirus outside’,” he signs off.
