It’s not easy to live in an apartment all by yourself, especially during the Coronavirus lockdown, but guess what? Actress Deepshikha Nagpal has been living alone in a 23-storey building for the past many months! So, what’s the story behind this, we ask. “Well, it’s true. I moved into this building in January, while the other owners haven’t started moving in yet,” she replies.

Incidentally, Deepshikha got possession of the Oshiwara flat after 11 long years. She shares, “I had been waiting for it for long. So, once I got the keys, I didn’t want to waste any more time. I moved in immediately with my domestic help and started work on the interiors. My children lived with my friend Sheeba for a while before joining me here. Other residents, too, had started work, but everything stopped during the lockdown.”

Weren’t the last two-and-a-half months difficult for her, given that she was the sole occupant of the building? “Not at all, we have proper security and so, that was not an issue. Also, my house is airy and spacious and I love that. I think I have literally lived like a queen during the lockdown, having the whole building to myself,” she laughs, adding, “I have always been on my own, so I’m not someone who gets scared easily.”
