Birthday is a special day for everyone, and on Monday, Marathi actress Sonalee made hers more special with a big announcement.

The Hirkani actress made her engagement official with a picture with her Dubai-based fiancé Kunal Benodekar. The couple got engaged on February 2 this year in Dubai itself. Taking to social media, Sonalee wrote, “Before my birthday ends, I want to mark it by making a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Introducing my fiancé Kunal Benodekar! (sic)”

Speaking to us, the actress shared, “Kunal and I met in London (as he hails from the UK) during the shoot of Ti And Ti in 2018 and hit it off instantly. We got engaged in Dubai in the presence of our immediate family members. Two months ago, I had come to meet him in Dubai as he works here, but I got stuck here because of the lockdown.”

Elaborating on the reason she didn’t break the news earlier, she says, “We didn’t want to announce a good news amidst the Coronavirus outbreak. We both decided to wait for the situation to get better. Also, we had not received our engagement pictures because here the process took a longer time. So, I chose my birthday to share this special news with everyone.”
