Janhvi Kapoor on her family’s plan of action after house help tested positive for Covid-19
MUMBAI MIRROR (May 20, 2020)
Ever since Khushi Kapoor returned from the US in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, sister Janhvi had been posting all the fun that they were having, from painting to cooking together. But, on Tuesday, the actress shared a statement issued by dad Boney Kapoor to inform that their 23-year-old house help, Charan Sahu, has tested positive for Covid-19 and is admitted to a quarantine centre.
The help, who had been feeling unwell since Saturday evening, was sent for tests and kept in isolation. When the results came in, the filmmaker alerted BMC officials and authorities of the Housing Society where they reside.
Thanking the municipal body and the state government for their swift response, Boney assured everyone that his daughters, he and the rest of their staff were fine and not showing any symptoms of Covid-19. “All of us will be in self-quarantine for the next 14 days. We shall be diligently following all the guidelines given to us,” he promised.
Echoing his thoughts, Janhvi wrote on her social media handle, “Staying at home is still the best solution we have. Stay safe everyone.”
The filmmaker ended his statement by pointing out that he hoped Charan would recover and return soon and that it’s important to share this information to avoid panic and rumour. Kartik Aaryan agreed with him, saying, “Kudos for acting promptly. Spreading awareness is the new normal”.
