Soon after Coronavirus entered India, meme-makers joked that the average Indian will only take it seriously if the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah talks about it. Now, we hear the show-runners have put together an episode to school its audience on basic hygiene techniques that could help arrest the outbreak.
However, producer Asit Kumarr Modi seems more concerned about the shoot being suspended from March 19, as instructed by film bodies, including IFTDA and IMPPA. “Shutting down a business is always painful, no matter how short the time span. We can only hope that within this time frame, the worst will be behind us,” he adds.
