Bhajan maestro Anup Jalota revealed on Tuesday (on Twitter) that he is in awe of the BMC’s (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) medical-care system. After he landed in Mumbai from London early on Tuesday, he has been kept in isolation at a city hotel, where he will be observed for Coronavirus symptoms if any, for the next 48 hours.
When BT reached out to him, Jalota said, “I had gone to London for some work and landed in Mumbai yesterday, at 4 am. At the airport, the authorities announced that we’d be checked for coronavirus symptoms and those above 60 will be kept in isolation for 48 hours. I am 66 years old and I cooperated. I am staying at a city hotel, where the doctors are monitoring me. I don’t have any symptoms so far and it could be because I have a good immune system. I practise yoga and meditation and also regularly consume 1500 mg of vitamin C. It has helped me keep away from cough and cold for many years now.”
Praising the entire team of doctors attending to him since Tuesday morning, Jalota added, “The BMC doctors are taking utmost care of every person. I would like to appeal to every passenger who is travelling back from affected countries to cooperate with the BMC team in helping control further spread of the disease.”
