With the ongoing countrywide lockdown, the duo has moved in together for the sake of their kids
BOMBAY TIMES (March 26, 2020)

In times of crisis, often the unthinkable happens. India is battling the Coronavirus outbreak, and the country is in lockdown mode. The situation has introduced a positive change in the lives of Hrithik Roshan and his ex-wife Sussanne Khan. The couple had divorced in November 2014. Over the years, they have been doing an amazing job of co-parenting their sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. That involved everything from going on vacations together to doing whatever they could individually, to give their kids a good upbringing. Yesterday, Hrithik took to Instagram to announce that Sussanne has moved back into his home for the sake of their children, as during these times of social distancing and self-quarantine, it will be best for their kids to stay with both their parents. With this, the two have set greater #parentinggoals for those around them.

In his social media post, Hrithik wrote, “It is unimaginable for me, as a parent, to think of having to be separated from my children at a time when the country is practicing lockdowns. It is heartwarming to see the world come together as one in this time of deep uncertainty and possibility of months of social distancing and potential lockdowns for several weeks perhaps. While the world talks about humanity coming together, I think it represents more than just an idea, especially for parents sharing custody of their kids. How to keep their kids close to them without infringing on the right of the other who also has an equal right to be with his/her children. This is a picture of dear Sussanne (my ex-wife), who has graciously volunteered to temporarily move out of her home so that our children are not disconnected indefinitely from either one of us. Thank you Sussanne for being so supportive and understanding in our journey of co-parenting. Our children will tell the story we create for them. I hope and pray that in order to safeguard the health of ourselves and our loved ones, we all find our way to express love, empathy, courage, strength with an open heart (sic).”

On Monday, Hrithik Roshan had put up a post documenting his time under social distancing with sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan, and their dog. On Wednesday, he returned to the ‘gram with a picture of ex-wife Sussanne Khan at his residence.

“It is unimaginable for me, as a parent, to think of having to be separated from my children at a time when the country is practicing lockdowns,” he began, lauding the world for coming together as one in a time of deep uncertainty.

Explaining the picture of Sussanne--the former couple have remained on good terms as close friends and co-parents since their divorce in 2014--the actor wrote, “This is a picture of dear Sussanne, who has graciously volunteered to temporarily move out of her home so that our children are not disconnected indefinitely from either one of us,” adding, “Thank you Sussanne for being so supportive and understanding in our journey of co-parenting. Our children will tell the story we create for them.”

Hrithik ended the post on a philosophical note, saying, “I hope and pray that in order to safeguard the health of ourselves and our loved ones, we all find our way to express love, empathy, courage, strength with an open heart”.
