I am working towards ridding myself of the fear of public speaking-Sunaina Roshan

A decades-long battle with health issues—including cancer—made Sunaina Roshan advocate for women to see signs early and take action fast
Arpika Bhosale (MID-DAY; March 2, 2025)
She might not look it, but her petite frame and delicate countenance house a survivor. Sunaina Roshan, soft-spoken and exuding classy-woman energy at 54, has endured illnesses that would fell most people, and has emerged triumphant.
Sunaina, looking cool in a blush peach top and white trousers, welcomes us, remarking that she had not realised her father was at home. Rakesh Roshan is indeed there and he is busy, playing cards at the family dining table in the next room. There seem to be plenty of players, with family and friends surrounding the man—proof of the well-known fact that Sunaina has always had the love and support of the Roshan family.
The famous photograph of Hrithik with his father peeking from behind, and paintings of Sunaina and her daughter, adorn the white marble walls. Sunaina insists on all of us having a snack, “It’s paneer and ragi snacks—so it’s all healthy,” she says. “I loved paneer but I had to give it up. I could eat it every day for all the three meals for all my life but things had to change after my jaundice,” she adds.
The jaundice was the most recent health scare she received, back in May of 2023. “The health scares I have faced have all been a matter of life and death; nothing normal has happened to me,” she says jokingly. From meningitis back in 2003 to her diagnosis with one of the rarest cancers—cervical lymphoma—in 2007, Sunaina has battled it all and emerged with head held high.
“During the chemotherapy I was pretty strong mentally. I knew what I had to do, but I think it really dawned on me when I had my last chemotherapy session. The doctor said that it would take another 10 minutes. Sussanne (Khan) was next to me and said something to the effect of it being my last chemotherapy and that I will be free—that broke me and I started howling,” recalls Sunaina.
Through Instagram, Sunaina has been advocating for women to do better about their health. She feels that any delay, if you think something is not quite right with your body, is unacceptable. “I was bleeding heavily during my periods in the last two months before I got diagnosed with cancer. It was my mother (Pinky Roshan) who insisted that I should go to the doctor and get checked, she and in fact all my family were my support systems all throughout my health journey,” she adds.
The 2023 jaundice bout, Sunaina confesses, was when she decided that “Ab bas ho gaya” and that she wanted to talk about her health in the hopes of inspiring others to never give up. She took to Instagram a little over a year ago and has become the champion for better eating habits, working out, and gut health in particular.
“With my other health challenges I always had medication, therapy etc, but for the jaundice I couldn’t take anything lest it overwhelm my already weak system. So I had to rely on my body completely to recover and that really changed the way I eat; I went for a complete gut reset,” says Sunaina.
Her reels on Instagram (@roshansunaina) on the subject have garnered 50,000 followers, fans of Sunaina’s quiet yet steely resolve. “I have been getting so much love online and I never expected it. I am not great at public speaking so these small, lovely little videos that I do at my home allow me to tell my story within my comfort zone,” she says.
So what next for Sunaina Roshan? “I am working towards ridding myself of the fear of public speaking. So I am hoping that by the end of this year I will be able to do a Ted Talk, and even if one person really listens and changes their life—well that’s enough,” she adds.
We will tune in, Sunaina; power to you.

Imagine you are running for life as someone is chasing and trying to kill you; isn’t that most glamorous thing ever-Orry

Onkar Kulkarni (BOMBAY TIMES; October 31, 2024)
Last year, Orry (social media star Orhan Awatramani) threw a Halloween bash at his home in Mumbai, and this year, B-town’s favourite boy is celebrating Halloween week, where he will be donning a variety of looks. Orry, who believes the occasion gives you a chance to express yourself through your outfit, will also be doing multiple Aamir Khan looks from his films including Taare Zameen Par and Ghajini.
‘I identify with the Grand High Witch’
Contrary to the quirky outfits he’s flaunting this Halloween, Orry invited Bombay Times home, as he slipped into some gory getups to celebrate the spookfest. “Nothing is more glamorous than scariness. Imagine you are running for life, barefoot, someone is chasing you and trying to kill you... isn’t that the most glamorous thing ever, as seen in films. I would love to be running for my life as long as I don’t die,” he says.
Ask him which horror character he identifies himself with, and he says, “Grand High Witch (Anne Hathaway’s character from The Witches, the dark fantasy comedy horror film).”
‘Last year, I dressed up as Saif Ali Khan from Go Goa Gone’
Orry, who enjoys participating in Halloween bashes as it tests his creative skills as he plans the whole look himself, shares some of his favourite looks from the parties he has attended. He says, “One of my first parties I attended was when I was in boarding school in Kodaikanal. I became a squid. I had blue makeup on my face, wore a blue outfit and on my head, I had a giant squid with its tentacles coming down on my body. In college, I dressed as Miley Cyrus and my friend was the Wrecking Ball. At Sussanne Khan’s party last year, I dressed as Frankenstein.”
Does Orry believe in ghosts?
While he loves all things spooky, Orry shares that he doesn’t believe in ghosts. “In boarding school, I thought I had paranormal encounters, but then I realized there was a scientific explanation to it.

Sussanne Khan, Arslan Goni are happy; that’s what matters-Zarine Khan

Tanvi Trivedi (BOMBAY TIMES; July 4, 2024)
Zarine Khan, interior designer, actor Sanjay Khan’s wife and Sussanne Khan’s mother, is happy that her daughter has found happiness in her professional and personal life. Sussanne, who was formerly married to Hrithik Roshan is currently in a relationship with actor Arslan Goni.
Ask Zarine if she’s happy about her daughter finding love again, and she says, “Arslan has studied law and belongs to a reputed political family in Jammu. He’s also interested in acting, so I wish him all the best for that. His family is very good, and I am glad that Susanne and Arslan are happy together.”
‘Marriage is not the only thing in life today’
Sharing her views on marriage, Zarine said, “If you find happiness with someone today, you are lucky. One does not know what lies in store in the future. Today, life is what you make of it. Marriage is not the only thing in life today. Hollywood couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel have been in a relationship for ages now and are still happy together. The age-old notion that you have to be married to be happy and settled, no longer holds true now. Women are independent, established in their careers and also want to make their own decisions. And marriage is a bond, which not always keeps you bonded for life. So, I am happy to see that Arslan and Susanne are happy together and focused on their careers.”
‘Duggu will continue to be my son’
Zarine also shared how her daughter Sussanne and Hrithik Roshan, who are co-parenting their sons (Hrehaan and Hridhaan) continue to be best friends.
“Duggu (Hrithik Roshan) continues to be my son and he is a wonderful human being. He and Sussanne may not be together, but they love each other as best friends. Together, they inculcate great qualities in their children. They respect each other and maintain a very healthy equation. I am glad that they have maintained dignity and respect for each other.”

Arslan Goni reacts to the wedding rumours; asks, "Why don’t these ‘sources’ tell me about it?"

Sugandha Rawal (HINDUSTAN TIMES; August 8, 2022)
Arslan Goni doesn’t like to talk about his personal life and his relationship status with interior designer Sussanne Khan. And the actor is amused by the recent report that claimed the couple is planning to get married in a hush-hush way soon. “I don’t know who has spoken about it, who has written about it. Aur unko kahan se pata chala. I’d like these sources to tell me more about it, kisne ye decision liya, kab aur kahan… I have zero comments on that,” he tells us.
His refusal to comment further is because he doesn’t want to add to the existing noise around his bond with Khan, who is actor Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife. “I don’t like talking about my personal life, even with friends. I am that kind of person. There’s anyway so much chatter around my life,” says Goni, who recently returned to Mumbai after a vacation with Khan in the US.
Asserting that he isn’t trying to “hide anything”, he adds, “I am not answerable to anybody about my personal life. My personal life is good, so is my work life. But I don’t want to make a show of it. I don’t want to be that person. As an actor, this (personal life) is what we are left with. I don’t want to throw it in someone’s face. At the same time, if I am going out with her, I am not going to enter separately or something.”
Goni acknowledges the role pictures have to play in narrating the story about his life. But he isn’t really put off by the attention. “From initial speculation to the subsequent trolling to getting positive comments about my personal life, it comes with a peaceful feeling... You know that people actually appreciate you… I sometimes go through the comments, and it is nice to see that nobody is throwing hate at us,” elaborates the actor, who adds that at the moment, he wants to focus on his work. He is excited about the projects in the pipeline, including a remake of the Israeli series, Fauda.

Late Rishi Kapoor’s best friends Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan miss Chintu on his son’s big day
Upala KBR (MID-DAY; April 15, 2022)
The Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt wedding yesterday was a close-knit affair. Rakesh Roshan and Jeetendra — longtime friends of Ranbir’s late father Rishi Kapoor — were not present at the ceremony, but sent their love to the newlyweds.
Talking to mid-day, Roshan said, “Ranbir is my best friend’s son, so he is like my son. He was brought up in front of my eyes. I miss Chintu so much. It was his wish to see Ranbir married. Nobody should feel bad about not being invited to an intimate wedding. When Hrithik [Roshan’s son] got married [to Sussanne Khan], only family and a few close friends from Mumbai were invited to the Bangalore wedding. The problem is that if you invite one, you have to invite all of them, and in COVID times, you cannot do that. We’re happy that Ranbir is getting married. I send all my love and blessings to Ranbir and Alia.”
Echoing his friend’s sentiments, Jeetendra added, “My heartfelt blessings and good wishes for Ranbir and Alia as they embark on this sacred journey. I miss Chintu with all my heart.”
I’m delighted both Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan both have found love again-Pooja Bedi

Onkar Kulkarni (BOMBAY TIMES; April 7, 2022)
Over the years, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, though they divorced in 2014, have always been there for their sons, Hridaan and Hrehaan like one rock-solid family. They have been spotted together at family celebrations and even on some vacations. Recently, the two were seen at a party in Goa, though this time around with their partners. While Hrithik was at the event with musician-actress Saba Azad, Sussanne was accompanied by actor Arslan Goni. The couples were clicked at the Mumbai airport holding hands when they returned to the city on Tuesday.
While earlier reports claimed they were at a bash hosted by Pooja Bedi, that wasn’t the case. Talking to BT, Pooja says, “It wasn’t my party, but Sussanne’s! It was all her hard work and the ability to multi-task and host something on this scale, and I don’t want to take away from that. ”
Pooja adds, “Sussanne had hosted a party to launch a café in Panjim for which she’s done the interiors, hence all of us were there. This Sunday, I am launching my café, too, and I hope we’ll have a similar vibe.”
While both the couples haven’t officially commented on their relationship status, Hrithik and Saba seemed to have made their relationship Insta official with their recent exchange on social media. Ask Pooja what she thinks about her friend Hrithik and his new partner, Saba, and she says, “Please don’t ask me anything about Hrithik and Saba.”
She adds, “Overall, I am just happy when people find love, as not all relationships last forever. So, when you move out of what is not working and find someone who enables and empowers your journey ahead, it becomes liberating for any individual. You feel glad to leave behind what was wonderful, but wasn’t working anymore. Everyone must find meaningful and purposeful relationships at different phases of their lives. I’m delighted both Hrithik and Sussanne maintain so much respect and support between them and that both have found love again.”
Sussanne’s sister Farah Khan Ali, brother Zayed Khan with his wife Malaika and filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor were among the guests present for the event.
It’s two people living a good happy life, says Arslan Goni on his equation with Sussanne Khan

Anjuri Nayar Singh (HINDUSTAN TIMES; January 14, 2022)
Actor Arslan Goni’s comment on rumoured girlfriend, interior designer Sussanne Khan’s Insta post caught everyone’s attention. Khan had posted about testing positive for Coronavirus, to which Goni replied: “You will be fine soon.” And at the end of this comment, he added three hearts and a kiss emoji.
“What [else] do I tell someone who has come out positive? I will always wish them ‘God bless you, and that you will get well soon’,” says Goni, explaining the comment.
He goes on, “As far as going viral is concerned and what people are saying, I cannot read all those messages. I don’t do that. Everyone has the right to say what they want to. But I am supposed to say something sweet to someone who has just tested positive.”
With rumour mills rife about reports of the two being in a relationship, Goni says that he has always tried to avoid the frenzy around it. “I normally don’t like to talk about it... [It is just about] two people living a good happy life. That’s it,” says the actor, who was seen in the series Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu.
While he ignores social media when it comes to rumours, he also adds that getting work without the support of social media is a tough task today. Recalling an incident, he says, “No producer or director has ever said anything directly to me, but I heard from one of the managers that ‘You don’t post too much on social media’ and he advised me ‘You should post more, it will benefit you’.”
The actor goes on, “It is believed that if there were more people following you, anything that you do would have a broad reach. Of course you can’t deny that funda.”
People will always speculate, but the fact is Sussanne Khan and I are very good friends-Arslan Goni

Neha Maheshwri (BOMBAY TIMES; December 5, 2021)
He may not have had a great start in Bollywood, but actor Arslan Goni is happy with the way his career is shaping up in the OTT space. Recently, he was also in the news for his friendship with Sussanne Khan (Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife). Amid speculations of them being more than just friends, Arslan’s presence at Sussanne’s birthday party in Goa in October further fuelled the buzz. While the two have not addressed the rumours yet, Arslan in an exclusive chat with BT, opened up about his bond with Sussanne.
Arslan said, “Social media banter is a regular thing. It was just a birthday get-together with friends. Everyone can attend their friends’ birthday parties, right? People will always speculate and we know how to deal with it… by not paying heed.”
He added, “Sussanne and I are very good friends. I met her at a common friend’s house. We just hit it off instantly. We hang out together along with other friends. She is a very nice human being.”
On the work front, his debut film, Jia Aur Jia (featuring Kalki Koechlin and Richa Chadha) took about two-and-a-half years to complete and later, didn’t fare too well at the box office. He shared, “The film took a long time to complete, but that’s the nature of this profession and one has to be patient. Many don’t even get the opportunity I got. The film may not have done well, but it introduced me to the industry.”
Now, it’s a new inning for the actor as he feels that he is getting his due in web shows. Arslan, who hails from Jammu and is actor Aly Goni’s cousin, said, “While I was waiting for more films to materialise, I got into OTT. Life has been pretty good since. I feel that OTT will only grow as a medium to showcase new content and talent.”
Aryan Khan was unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time-Sussanne Khan

While most in showbiz maintained a studied silence, some have noted that the case is generating sensationalistic, voyeuristic pleasure. Others also extended moral support to the Khan family
BOMBAY TIMES (October 5, 2021)
On Monday, Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were produced for their second remand hearing in the cruise ship drug raid case. They were sent to NCB custody till October 7.
The NCB had sought custody till October 11 and in its remand application stated that “shocking incriminating material has been found on his phone in the form of pictures”, which talks about “procuring in bulk for further distribution.” The sections applied under the NDPS Act were 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29. Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, appearing for the NCB, read Rhea Chakraborty’s bail order where it was observed that offences under NDPS are non-bailable.
Advocate Satish Maneshinde, appearing for Aryan, said, “My bag was searched but nothing was found. After some time, they took custody of my phone and began interrogating me. Mr Merchant is a friend of mine. This is a small quantity (six grams of charas). None of the other drugs was seized from us. The main seizure is from the other accused. I am not connected to others. Even if the offences are non-bailable as argued, based on Rhea's case, I am entitled to bail. There, Section 27A was invoked, for financing. If material is seized from other accused, that cannot be foisted on me. One of the grounds is that there is the seizure of total commercial quantity in the entire case. But that can't be used against me. According to them, I’m in the position of purchase. But nothing is recovered from me.”
Regarding the allegation that Aryan was involved in international trafficking, the lawyer said, “Now they say that when I was abroad, I have certain conversations in the phone and they want to bust an international drug trafficking racket. In the last one year, I've gone to my university. In the entire period, I have not indulged in any drug trafficking.”
Earlier, on Saturday, NCB officials raided a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai and held eight people for questioning, including Aryan. On Sunday, Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun were arrested by the NCB and produced before a holiday court in Mumbai. The court sent all three to NCB remand for a day. The other five accused – Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhokar – were also arrested later on Sunday.
Before Monday’s remand hearing, Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director NCB, had told us, “NCB will seek further custody of Aryan Khan. I cannot reveal the links and the findings of last evening’s interrogation, but there are areas we need to investigate.”
As to whether all eight accused will be questioned together or not, he said, “We use all techniques in our investigations, and will be using the same methods in this case too.”
On Monday, when the cruise ship returned to Mumbai, Wankhede and other NCB officials reached the cruise terminal and searched the vessel, an official reportedly said.
HAD HE NOT BEEN SRK’S SON, PEOPLE WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN INTERESTED IN THE CASE SO MUCH: SHOBHAA DE
It’s very indicative of something far deeper that needs to be investigated more thoroughly. And because it’s such a high profile arrest today, it is generating that kind of sensationalistic, voyeuristic pleasure in seeing whether Aryan is going to be actually arrested and how, what statement is he going to be signing. All of it, which has gone viral, has everything to do with his public profile, as the son of Shah Rukh Khan. But, the problem is very much there, and has been addressed perhaps not strongly enough, and there was no follow through after the Sushant Singh Rajput incident. This is the second such (case) which should act as a wakeup call, and what we have to remember, to start with, and that’s the most important thing, that whether it’s Shah Rukh Khan’s son, it’s Aryan Khan, or anybody else, due legal process is being followed... Had he not been Shahrukh Khan’s son, had it been just another arrest of a rich kid, I don’t think anyone would’ve been that interested in following this case. (The comment was made during a discussion on NDTV)
PAINFUL FOR PARENT TO DEAL WITH CHILD IN TROUBLE: HANSAL MEHTA
It is painful for a parent having to deal with a child getting into trouble. It gets compounded when people begin to arrive at judgements before the law takes its course. It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent and to the parent-child relationship. With you @iamsrk
HE WAS AT THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME: SUSSANNE KHAN
I think this is not about Aryan Khan, as he was unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time, this situation is being made an example to drive home the excitement that some people get as they have a witch hunt on people from Bollywood. It’s sad and unfair as he is a good kid. I stand by Gauri and Shahrukh. (The comment was in reaction to Shobhaa De’s post)
BOLLYWOOD GAWKING IS A TAMASHA: SUCHITRA KRISHNAMOORTHI
Nothing harder for a parent than seeing their child in distress. Prayers to all. For all those targetting #Bollywood remember all the #NCB raids on filmstars? Yes nothing was found and nothing was proved. #Bollywood gawking is a tamasha. It’s the price of fame.
THE CHILD SHOULD BE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY, LET THE REAL REPORTS COME: SUNIEL SHETTY
When a place is raided, a lot of people are detained. We assume that the kids must have consumed or done something. All I want to say is that the process is on, let's give that child a breather. Whenever there is something related to Bollywood, the entire media starts reacting on every angle and assumes that everyone is like that. I think the child should be given an opportunity and let the real reports come out. Till then, he is a child and I think he is our responsibility. (The comment was made on Sunday)

2011: SRK detained and fined by customs at Mumbai airport
This is not the Khan family’s first run-in with Sameer Wankhede. In 2011, Wankhede, who was then the Deputy Collector of Customs at Mumbai Airport, had stopped SRK and family when they returned from an international holiday. SRK was interrogated and then fined with a custom duty of approximately ₹1.5 lakh
Suresh Raina, Guru Randhawa, Sussanne Khan booked in 3 am club raid

V Narayan (THE TIMES OF INDIA; December 23, 2020)
Mumbai: Former India cricketer Suresh Raina, singer Guru Randhawa, model-actor Zulfikar Syed and Sussanne Khan, interior designer and actor Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife, were among 34 people, including 13 women, booked for alleged violations of Covid-19 protocols at a birthday party celebration at an Andheri club in the early hours of Tuesday, reports V Narayan.
Sahar police registered an FIR against the 34 for violating pandemic rules and Dragonfly Club for staying open till 3am, beyond the stipulated hours. The FIR mentions 27 patrons, including, Raina, Randhawa, Syed and a few businessman, and seven club employees. They were taken to Sahar police station and later released on bail. The women, including Khan, were let off after being served a notice under Section 49 of the CrPC.
Raina’s management team released a statement on Tuesday that he was not aware of local timings and protocols and regrets the “unfortunate and unintentional” incident. “Once pointed out, he immediately complied with the procedures laid out by the authorities... He always holds rules and laws laid down by governing bodies with the highest regard and will continue to do so in the future as well,” it read.
A statement from Randhawa’s team, too, said he “deeply regrets the unintentional incident” and he was not aware of local authorities’ decision to impose a night curfew “but instantly conformed to all rules laid out by the government officials”. He has promised to comply with government guidelines and protocols by taking all precautionary measures in the future, it read.
Khan took to Instagram to post: “...Whilst the club management and the authorities were sorting things out, all the guests present were asked to wait for a period of three hours. We were finally allowed to leave at 6am. Therefore, the speculation by parts of the media that there were arrests made are completely incorrect and also irresponsible. I fail to understand why we were made to wait or what the issue was with the authorities and the club... I have utmost regard and respect for the Mumbai police...”
DCP (Zone II) Rajiv Jain was on night round-up duty when he received a tipoff that the club was open. Jain raided it along with a Gamdevi police inspector and Sahar cops.
“Action was initiated against 27 customers, including Raina, Randhawa, Khan and others, and seven staffers whose names are mentioned in the FIR for violating prohibitory orders (for the pandemic),” said Jain.
A Sahar police officer told TOI: “Many of them were guests at a birthday party thrown by a female celebrity. The club was to shut at 11.30 pm on Monday. After completing the probe, a letter will be sent to the BMC to take necessary steps against the club.”
The officer said a total of 19 people who attended the party were from Delhi and Punjab and eight from the city. The 19 flew out of the city around 7am after they were released. All have been booked under Indian Penal Code sections 188 for disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant and 269 for a negligent act likely to spread infection of a disease dangerous to life. The women were served a notice under CrPC Section 49 for not subjecting an arrested person to more restraint than is necessary to prevent escape.
A police officer said they did not see rapper Badshah, a partner at the club, at the time of the raid as he allegedly escaped from the back gate.

Celebrities were caught in a nightclub near the airport on the first night that curfew came into effect in city
Faizan Khan (MID-DAY; December 23, 2020)
Hours after the government imposed night curfew from Tuesday, the police caught 34 people, including former cricketer Suresh Raina, Sussanne Khan and singer Guru Randhawa partying at a posh club near the international airport. The celebrities, who were busted at Dragonfly Club around 2.30 am, were booked under the Indian Penal Code, the National Disaster Management Act and the Bombay Police Act for flouting Coronavirus guidelines and not maintaining social distancing.
Sources said rapper Badshah was also present at the club, but he managed to slip out through the rear gate. A few pictures purported to be from the party surfaced on social media on Tuesday. Police sources said they will verify the photos before taking any action against the popular rapper, who did not respond to calls and messages from mid-day. A few women who also tried to escape in a Mercedes were stopped by the police.
The sources said there were many high-profile people at the time of the raid, but their names are yet to be released by the police. While Sussanne and other women were allowed to go after being handed notices, the men were arrested and were later granted bail. Raina and Randhawa said they were unaware of the latest restrictions.
"In the view of the new strain of COVID-19, the government has announced night curfew after 11pm. Pubs and clubs were supposed to be shut as per the guidelines. The raids were conducted and 27 customers and 7 staffers were found inside a club. The females were allowed to leave after notices were served to them and the others were arrested and given table bail." said Joint Commissioner of Police Vishwas Nangare Patil.
The government has announced the curfew, from 11 pm to 6 am, till January 5 to keep the coronavirus pandemic in control amid emergence of a fast-spreading strain in the UK. The curbs do not restrict the public movement or essential services.
Raina's defence
A statement on behalf of the former cricketer said he was in the city for a shoot which extended to late hours. He was invited by a friend for a quick dinner before he was to fly back to Delhi. "He was not aware of the local timings and protocols. Once pointed out, he immediately complied with the procedures laid out by the authorities and regrets the unfortunate and unintentional incident. He always holds rules and laws laid down by governing bodies with the highest regard and will continue to do so in the future as well," it said.
'Unintentional'
The singer's team said he was out for dinner and was to return to Delhi in the morning. It said Randhawa "deeply" regrets the unintentional incident. The team said, "Unfortunately, he was not aware of the local authorities' decision of night curfew but instantly conformed to all rules. He promises to compile with government guidelines and protocols by taking all precautionary measures in the future. By far, he has been a law-abiding citizen and will continue to be one."
'Had to wait for three hours'
Sussanne Khan said she too was out for dinner. They were made to wait for three hours, she said on Instagram. "We were finally allowed to leave at 6 am. Therefore, the speculation by parts of the media that there were arrests made are completely incorrect and also irresponsible. I fail to understand why we were made to wait or what the issue was with the authorities and the club. I am setting the record straight with this statement. I have utmost regard & respect for the Mumbai Police and for all their selfless efforts in keeping us Mumbaikars safe. Without their constant vigilance for public welfare, we would not feel safe."

Here's how a day in the life of Hrithik Roshan looks like during the lockdown

Here’s what the actor’s day looks like, with reading, playing indoor games, working out in the home gym and yes, learning to play the piano
Himesh Mankad (MUMBAI MIRROR; April 9, 2020)
On March 25, Hrithik Roshan shared a personal note about co-parenting on Instagram, announcing that his ex-wife, Sussanne Khan, had temporarily moved in with him so that their children are not disconnected indefinitely from either of them during the lockdown brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic. Even after their divorce, on November 1, 2014, that followed almost a year of separation, the former couple has remained close friends and co-parent sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan.
Like the entire country, the actor, too, is in lockdown with family at his Juhu apartment. “Hrithik has been reading a lot—from self-help books and daily news to fiction. Right now, he is reading The 4-Hour Workweek. He was always inclined towards learning the piano and is using this time to develop the hobby,” revealed a source close to the actor. Hrithik is also following a rigorous workout routine on a daily basis. “He works out twice a day, once early in the morning and again in the evening, with his kids. He is spending extra time in his house gym, stretching, doing yoga and cardio, along with regular weight-training,” the source added. Evenings are reserved for board games. Hrithik loves chess and plays with his sons. “Movie screenings with the kids and being with his dog, Zane, also form a part of his routine.”The 46-year-old actor, who completed 20 years in the industry in January this year, was seen last year on the big screen with Super 30, the biopic of maths whiz Anand Kumar, and the action-thriller War. Ever since, all eyes are on his 25th film. “Hrithik is in the process of finalising his slate of releases. He has been reading a lot of scripts in the last six months and has liked some ideas. He is in constant touch with the directors and writers, who are developing them, over the phone,” the source shared.
Apart from his acting assignments, Hrithik also plans to get into film production and has been reading scripts for that, too. While interacting with Mirror earlier (December 26, 2019), he had said, “The idea is to produce content-driven films, triumph of life stories, something that can leave an impact on the audience.”
He is also over-seeing the prep of his superhero franchise, Krrish 4, which is currently being scripted. “There has been a huge leap in technology since the release of Krrish 3 in 2013. And Rakeshji (his filmmaker-father Rakesh Roshan) and he are constantly discussing the scale, visuals and other aspects of film. It should hopefully take off next year,” the source added.
Mirror had earlier reported that Hrithik Roshan’s tour to the US had got cancelled owing to the pandemic. It will be rescheduled for a future date once people get back to their normal lives. Meanwhile, Hrithik was one of the first Bollywood actors to come to the aid of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. He extended support to BMC staff working round the block to contain the virus spread on March 26. To ensure the safety of the most fundamental caretakers of the city and society, he also procured N95 and FFP3 masks. Hrithik has also tied up with an NGO to facilitate 1.2 lakh nutritious cooked meals to old age homes, daily wage labourers, and low income groups across India. He continues to be in touch with government officials and NGOs, keeping a close eye on the needs of the ones suffering on ground.

With the ongoing countrywide lockdown, the duo has moved in together for the sake of their kids
BOMBAY TIMES (March 26, 2020)
In times of crisis, often the unthinkable happens. India is battling the Coronavirus outbreak, and the country is in lockdown mode. The situation has introduced a positive change in the lives of Hrithik Roshan and his ex-wife Sussanne Khan. The couple had divorced in November 2014. Over the years, they have been doing an amazing job of co-parenting their sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. That involved everything from going on vacations together to doing whatever they could individually, to give their kids a good upbringing. Yesterday, Hrithik took to Instagram to announce that Sussanne has moved back into his home for the sake of their children, as during these times of social distancing and self-quarantine, it will be best for their kids to stay with both their parents. With this, the two have set greater #parentinggoals for those around them.In his social media post, Hrithik wrote, “It is unimaginable for me, as a parent, to think of having to be separated from my children at a time when the country is practicing lockdowns. It is heartwarming to see the world come together as one in this time of deep uncertainty and possibility of months of social distancing and potential lockdowns for several weeks perhaps. While the world talks about humanity coming together, I think it represents more than just an idea, especially for parents sharing custody of their kids. How to keep their kids close to them without infringing on the right of the other who also has an equal right to be with his/her children. This is a picture of dear Sussanne (my ex-wife), who has graciously volunteered to temporarily move out of her home so that our children are not disconnected indefinitely from either one of us. Thank you Sussanne for being so supportive and understanding in our journey of co-parenting. Our children will tell the story we create for them. I hope and pray that in order to safeguard the health of ourselves and our loved ones, we all find our way to express love, empathy, courage, strength with an open heart (sic).”

Hrithik Roshan thanks Sussanne Khan for moving out of her house so they can be with their sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan
MUMBAI MIRROR (March 26, 2020)
On Monday, Hrithik Roshan had put up a post documenting his time under social distancing with sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan, and their dog. On Wednesday, he returned to the ‘gram with a picture of ex-wife Sussanne Khan at his residence.“It is unimaginable for me, as a parent, to think of having to be separated from my children at a time when the country is practicing lockdowns,” he began, lauding the world for coming together as one in a time of deep uncertainty.
Explaining the picture of Sussanne--the former couple have remained on good terms as close friends and co-parents since their divorce in 2014--the actor wrote, “This is a picture of dear Sussanne, who has graciously volunteered to temporarily move out of her home so that our children are not disconnected indefinitely from either one of us,” adding, “Thank you Sussanne for being so supportive and understanding in our journey of co-parenting. Our children will tell the story we create for them.”
Hrithik ended the post on a philosophical note, saying, “I hope and pray that in order to safeguard the health of ourselves and our loved ones, we all find our way to express love, empathy, courage, strength with an open heart”.
I’m quite the one that everyone turns to for advice-Malaika Arora

The popular VJ of the ’90s on waking up early, having no patience for trolls, and building her yoga empire
Kunal Guha (MUMBAI MIRROR; January 5, 2020)
Malaika Arora was nursing a hamstring injury when she was introduced to yoga seven years ago. It turned into a deeper relationship when she noticed the ancillary benefits, which included “just feeling much better”. “I was also in a phase of life where I felt I needed some direction, and yoga brought me a lot of calm,” she says. So, when she was approached to be the brand ambassador of a yoga chain, she wanted to get more involved. “I didn’t want to be just the face [of the brand] because there were 30,000 other opportunities that I could consider,” she says.
Today, she’s on the verge of building a business empire. Her year-old chain of exclusively-for-women yoga studios aims to double its footprint the next 12 months, and reach as many as 100 million health-conscious customers in five years. “The air you breathe and the food you eat these days are nothing, if not questionable. Fitness is the only thing that you can be certain is unadulterated,” says the 44-year-old former VJ. “I am still learning. I knew nothing of the business when I got into it. Every day, I keep asking questions.” Recently, her first venture, an online fashion label, which she co-founded with actor Bipasha Basu and interior designer Sussanne Khan, clocked four years.
Arora has steadily fashioned herself as a multifarious personality, dabbling in entrepreneurship, reality TV and movies — all the while looking her dazzling best. She attributes the transformation to waking up early, going vegan and glutenfree, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. “I don’t think I’ve felt this good. I’m doing something right,” she says. Her protean sense of style too, always grabs eyeballs. “It’s mood-driven… there are days I’m feeling peppy and days I feel sexy,” says Arora, who considers Madonna, Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Kareena Kapoor Khan her fashion icons. “I love a saree on anybody. Even my mom can rock it in a saree and big bindi,” she says.
No wonder then that she’s a paparazzi muse, and perhaps the most photographed celebrity after Taimur Ali Khan. She maintains, however, that press photographers by and large have been “very nice and understanding” to her. “There are times, I’ve requested them not to click me and they’ve obliged,” she says, adding that she understands “it’s their job” to capture candid moments of celebs.
She also lauds the media for having seen her through a rather grueling patch — the end of her 18-year-old marriage with actor and producer Arbaaz Khan. “The media has been respectful and no one has stepped on my toes,” she says. “It’s a process… you can’t expect everything and everybody to be okay about things, right away. It takes time.”
Through all this, her 17-year-old son, Arhaan, who she considers to be the “most important person in her life”, has stood by her “like a pillar” and that Arbaaz and her have a mutual understanding to be equally present in his life.
Arora became popular as a VJ in the ’90s, a profession that, she feels, shot itself in the foot, and was “phased out by reality shows, which the youth started identifying with”. “But that’s what gave me a platform and opened so many doors for me,” she says. One can hardly forget her iconic stint in the TV show she co-hosted with Cyrus Broacha, where they fielded live callers about their relationship woes. A dial-in agony aunt was pathbreaking for Indian television at the time, and Arora says that it continues to be an extension of her personality. “I’m quite the one that everyone turns to for advice… they automatically speak to me,” she says. “In fact, my friends always say that since I’m not judgmental, it’s easy to talk to me.”
Arora is as savvy when it comes to being a social media sensation. “Every decade, there’s something new… if you use these tools right, it’s brilliant. It has wonderful reach and the benefits are for everyone to see,” she says, adding that her posts comprise a mix of her work and personal life.
It is also a space where she occasionally engages with fans and fan clubs. “Some just reach out to me because they connect with the choices that I’ve made as a woman.” Like any hotshot influencer, Arora draws her share of trolls too — some even pass jibes about her relationship. But she simply chooses to ignore them. “I have no patience for noise and there’s enough and more going on in my life,” she says. “I’m a non-controversial person and I don’t go around saying things out of context, unless I need to or am provoked. But if I have to voice my opinion, I certainly do.”
Tiger Shroff to move into his eight-bedroom apartment in April 2020

Avinash Lohana (MUMBAI MIRROR; October 26, 2019)
Mirror had earlier reported (July 24, 2018) that Tiger Shroff has bought a sprawling eight-bedroom apartment in a plush neighbourhood in the city’s western suburbs. The 29-year-old actor had been hunting for an ideal property for a while and finalised the deal last year.
Now, we have learnt that Tiger will move into his dream house in April next year. According to a source close to the actor, it is being designed to suit his personality and, in a way, that it can house everything he needs. “There are spaces assigned for his workouts, dance practice and official meetings,” the source shared, adding that John Abraham’s interior designer brother Alan is doing up the place, while Tiger’s mother Ayesha Shroff and designer Sussanne Khan have helped with inputs. “Shopping for it is on in full swing.”
In an interview with Mirror (Dec 2018), the actor had admitted to buying a home for the family. “We will move in once it’s ready, maybe in a year or so,” the actor had shared, while his actor-father Jackie Shroff had described it as an “emotional moment”, adding that they never wanted one, but Tiger thought they should have a house and had been slogging to make the dream come true. Proud that the young actor has worked his way to the top, the exuberant father had added, “God is kind, what else can you expect from your child! Tiger is setting an example for other kids to follow. He sleeps by 10.30 pm and is up by 6 am… He respects people and focuses on his craft… He steers clear of malice and is a man on a mission.”
On the work front, Tiger has started shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s action thriller, the Ahmed Khan-directed Baaghi 3, with Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead and Riteish Deshmukh as his cop-brother. The actor is scheduled to fly to Serbia in November to kick-start the international schedule of the film.

The funeral of J Om Prakash, who passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday, took place in Vile Parle around noon. His grandson Hrithik Roshan, who was present with mom Pinky (the late filmmaker’s daughter), father Rakesh and uncle Rajesh, performed the last rites. His ex-wife Sussanne Khan turned up with their sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan.
Abhishek Bachchan, Kunal Kapoor, Madhu Mantena, Sanjay Gupta, Jeetendra, Prem Chopra with wife Uma and Pahlaj Nihalani were among the visitors. Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to the late filmmaker with a tweet: “J Om Prakash ji, Producer Director of eminence, passed away this morning .. a kind gentle affable being .. my neighbor, Hrithik’s grandfather .. sad!! Prayers for his soul (sic).”
Actor Deepak Parashar told Mirror, “Mr Omprakash’s wife and my uncle’s wife are sisters. I got a chance to work with him Aap Toh Aise Na The. It’s very saddening and heartbreaking to see him leave us. I can relate to one of his songs right now, “Sheesha Ho Ya Dil Ho”.
The definition of a hero on screen is changing-Hrithik Roshan

Chaya Unnikrishnan (DNA; August 5, 2019)
He made his debut as a romantic action hero with chocolate-boy looks in Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai (2000), and almost two decades down the line, Hrithik Roshan has turned the narrative upside down by playing a down-to-earth, dark-complexioned Bihari teacher in Super 30. While his first film made him an overnight sensation, his latest release sees him shining in the tale of true hardships. As the superstar says, “The hero is no more a guy with the guitar and a smirk on his face.” Here, he tells us how cinema has changed over the years, his criteria for choosing films, and more.
With the success of Super 30, do you feel that lately, actors who do rooted films connect more with the audiences?
Being someone who has made his debut in 2000, the new millennium, I have seen some really good changes in Indian cinema. The biggest change, however, is that the narrative is becoming more and more inclusive. We have opened ourselves to various experiences and influences, which I believe is working. Super 30 is that tale of inclusion that the audiences have connected to.
What drives you to choose a film? Have the criteria changed over the years?
My criteria for choosing a film hasn’t changed much. I have always picked up scripts depending on my gut feeling and instincts. What could have changed over the years is that the instincts come from a place of more experience. Another important thing while choosing a film is the entertainment value it carries. My father (Rakesh Roshan) always says that if you make films, they ought to be entertaining.
You will be completing two decades in the industry soon. Do you see a vast difference in the scripts or the content of the film?
The definition of a hero on screen is changing. It is no more a guy with the guitar and a smirk on his face. That’s also because the audience is evolving and are accepting only a different kind of content now.
A Super 30 followed by War, is that a deliberate attempt to balance between larger-than-life roles and playing a common man?
Honestly, I did not plan it like this. But in hindsight, I think it’s a good thing. Because both the characters are very different from each other. Also, for me even the Super 30 character is larger-than-life. The costume or the exterior doesn’t make any character larger-than-life, it’s the journey that does. Anand Kumar isn’t a common man in that sense, he’s a special man.
Horror comedies are now a trend in Bollywood. How open are you to doing one?
I am open to doing absolutely any genre if the script excites me enough. Because if I don’t feel the emotions while reading or hearing a script, then even the audience won’t.
If you were to do another biopic who would you like to play on screen?
I am not particularly looking forward to doing a biopic. What’s important for me is the script. If that is powerful, then I will do it. The same thing happened with Super 30. I did not do it because I wanted to do a biopic. I happened to like a script which was a biopic. It did not take me more than 30 seconds to say yes to the script. Because it moved me, made me happy and feel various emotions.
What is the status on Krrish 4?
It is in the final stages of scripting right now. We are sure that if this film is being made, then we have to take it to a much higher level.
There is news about you doing a film with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in Aanand L Rai’s next...
That’s not true. I haven’t got any call from anyone as of now. But I am a huge fan of Aanand sir’s work.
Any plans of turning director?
Right now, I am enjoying doing different characters on screen as an actor so this thought hasn’t come to my mind but perhaps sometime in the future. Why not!
You and Sussanne Khan have been setting goals in how to be amicably together with the children even after a divorce. Has it been easy?
It’s sad that my equation with Sussanne is looked upon as rare when it should be common practice to strive towards peace and happiness, especially for our children. Even now, some people ask me why I am so good to my ex, and I explain to them that as a father, I am bringing up two men, and they need to know that their mother is loved and respected. They need to learn that two people can be separated but still stand united as a family.
Earlier, my whole life had been about my hair-Sonali Bendre

Sonali Bendre on losing a prized possession that had even landed her debut film, Aag, back in 1994
Natasha Coutinho (MUMBAI MIRROR; April 4, 2019)
After visits in New York and family brunches, Sonali Bendre reunited with her best friends, Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Oberoi, for a TV show and got teary-eyed while recalling her recent stay in New York.In July last year, the actress had quit the reality show India’s Best Draamebaaz, on which she served as one of the judges, to start treatment for a metastatic cancer at the renowned research facility Sloan Kettering in the Big Apple. The chemotherapy sessions that followed resulted in dramatic hair loss and while the actress embraced the change, even talking candidly about it on social media, it was a difficult topic to discuss on the Colors Infinity show.
During the conversation, Sonali reminisced about her early days in showbiz, adding that her thick mane was much talked about then. So much so, they even landed her K Ravi Shankar’s Aag in 1994, her acting debut. “Now that I think of it, earlier, my whole life had been all about my hair, even though it sounds superficial. I’ve endorsed every hair product at some point in my life,” she said, adding that it used to be a big part of her personality.
On how she dealt with it, the 44-year-old actress said, “My sisters and friends were with me for support. I was sure I didn’t want it to be clumpy and feel horrible about it. I wanted to enjoy getting rid of it as much as I had loved wearing it. My friends and our kids were all with me when I got the first haircut. I kept it short and it did look nice,” Sonali said.
When it was time to go bald, Gayatri suggested that she keep the hair, so they could make a wig out of it. “I said no. Let’s just give it away, it’s not meant to be, just let it go,” Sonali concluded.
The buzz about Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan getting remarried is a ridiculous rumour-Sources

Renuka Vyavahare (BOMBAY TIMES; July 31, 2018)
Even after their divorce in 2014, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and his ex-wife Sussanne Khan, have been doting parents to their two sons — Hridhaan and Hrehaan. They continue to co-parent their children and ensure that they spend quality time with them. The ex-couple have often been seen watching movies with their children and even taking family vacations together. Sussanne also stood by Hrithik during his face-off with Kangana Ranaut. Their camaraderie has led many to believe that the two might plan to remarry soon.
However, a source close to the couple categorically denies the reports. “The buzz about Hrithik and Sussanne getting remarried is nothing but a ridiculous rumour. We wonder what sparks these rumours. It’s not true.”
Ironically, this news had surfaced in January last year, too. When asked about it during an interview with Bombay Times back then, Hrithik had cleared the air, saying, “Sussanne is my friend for life. We are two loving parents for our kids. My equation with her is very peaceful. I can’t have any relationship in my life that’s not peaceful.” About his thoughts on getting married again, he had said, “No, I don’t think about remarriage at all. I am happy. I feel so fulfilled. I don’t feel the need, but of course, you don’t know what the future holds. For now, I am very content.”
When BT reached out to Zayed Khan (Sussanne’s brother) for a reaction on this news, he said, “It’s very sweet, but this is their personal territory and I would not be the right person to comment on anyone’s personal life.”
Hrithik and Sussanne were married for fourteen years, before their divorce in 2014.

A timeline of the trouble that ended the 20-year marriage of Arjun Rampal and Mehr Rampal
8:04 AM
Posted by Fenil Seta

Sanyukta Iyer (MUMBAI MIRROR; May 29, 2018)
While reports of an imminent split between former supermodels and long-time couple Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia had first surfaced as early as 2011, their official announcement on Monday sent shockwaves in the film industry. The duo, married for 20 years, had worked out the logistics before going public with the announcement. Four months ago, Arjun, 45, moved out of their sea-facing Bandra duplex, where they lived with their daughters, into a rented two-BHK owned by businessman-friend Kishor Bajaj. Mehr and their two teenaged daughters continue to live in the duplex, and the arrangement is expected to continue till the divorce comes through next year.
Mirror has learnt that last week, Arjun had informed the teams of his upcoming films, J P Dutta’s Paltan and his own co-production Nastik, that he was splitting from his wife and that an official announcement would follow shortly.
Now, close friends of the former couple and industry insiders claim that the tumultuous marriage had effectively ended around six months ago and the couple had waited for their daughters to come to terms with it before revealing it to the media. Sources close to the development say the flashpoint was a loud and heated fight between the couple which led to complaints from neighbours. The rude wake-up call was followed by Mehr apologising profusely to the neighbours, and Arjun moving into a five-star hotel.
Falling off the A-list radar
Arjun and Mehr, who were once an integral part of Shah Rukh Khan’s inner circle, fell out with him during the making of Ra.One. According to a source close to the couple, Arjun requested to be a part of his friend’s 2011 sci-fi production, Ra.One. “But Mehr allegedly insisted on a higher remuneration for her husband from co-producer SRK himself, who swore to never work with Arjun in the future. The two subsequently had a public falling out during the film’s release. After that, Shah Rukh stopped taking Mehr’s calls. His wife, Gauri Khan, who had been close friends with Mehr, severed ties with her as well,” the source added.
Meanwhile, as Ra.One entered post production, Arjun was signed on to play the lead in the Karan Johar-produced We Are Family. When Arjun hiked his fee at the last minute, KJo also avowed never to work with the actor again. A month after Ra.One’s release, SRK and Gauri were conspicuous by their absence at Mehr’s 40th birthday bash. Soon after, Bhavna Panday, Maheep Kapoor, Sussanne Khan and Anu Dewan, core members of Bollywood’s most high-profile girl-gang of the time including Gauri and Mehr, gradually distanced themselves from Arjun and Mehr.
“I never tell Mehr what films I’m doing because she’s very honest with her opinion, and when she gives it, I know exactly how good or bad the film is — she’s very straightforward, which is fun, but also sometimes embarrassing,” Arjun had been quoted as saying on several occasions.
In 2007, the couple also hit rough weather when their first home production, I See You, featuring Arjun opposite newcomer Vipasha Agarwal, bombed at the box-office. They moved on to produce TV content and even took over a documentary project which was shelved mid-way. The banner, Chasing Ganesha, was disbanded around 2014, and Arjun returned as a solo producer for Ashim Ahluwalia’s Daddy last year, which turned out to be a damp squib despite pre-release buzz.
The third act
By the mid-2000s, Hrithik Roshan and his then-wife Sussanne Khan were the last of their powerful Bollywood friends. In 2008, Arjun wrote a first-person account of ‘things that interest him’ for a men’s magazine, fleetingly rhapsodising over Sussanne. “One girl who makes smoking look feminine is Sussanne”. Today, several friends of the actor claim that he has been besotted with the former star wife-turned-interior designer ever since.
“When his equations with many industry friends were worsening, his friendship with Sussanne only strengthened over time and Mehr grew extremely insecure. It led to several fights between the couple,” revealed a close friend, recalling how last year, at a bash hosted by Sussanne’s cousin Fardeen Khan, the former BFFs had a very public spat. “Mehr and Sussanne yelled at one another before Mehr stormed out of the party. The two have not spoken to each other since.”
Sussanne and Hrithik’s separation in December 2013 fuelled speculation that the former’s proximity to Arjun was the primary reason behind the split. Sussanne released a statement in 2014, “Arjun and Mehr are my friends and have been for years. To poison a relationship such as this is malicious behaviour. I have, with Mehr, earlier stated that there is no truth to the claim that Arjun and I are anything more than friends.”
Three years ago, Mehr, who had been working on saving her marriage, was reportedly so heartbroken that she moved in with her mother in the Dadar’s Parsi colony but returned home shortly afterwards following a reconciliation.
Around the same time, Arjun and Mehr began making public appearances at events once again, looking like the loved-up couple they were once known as. The same men’s magazine published an interview with Rampal, “a changed man”. “He hasn’t slept in two days, but not for the reason you think. He wasn’t out nailing models and drinking till dawn — this is Arjun Rampal 2.0, the family man, after all (though he does, he says, still have a good time). Because there are two sides to Arjun Rampal. The one who expounds intensely on acting and the one who tells corny jokes. The one who gives advice — on everything from partying to careers — and the one who wouldn’t dream of following it. The guy who’s always ready with a vulgar one-liner and the loving father of two,” it read.
Friends in the know point out that both Arjun and Mehr tried to make the marriage last but couldn’t. In 2017, Mehr, who routinely visits Mount Mary church in Bandra, had to be escorted home by a family friend after a breakdown in the church. “Mehr had learnt that Arjun and Sussanne were still meeting secretly and were close friends. She was traumatised as she had believed Arjun when he said he was a changed man and that everything would be fine,” the source said.
A filmmaker friend of the former couple notes that while the couple had reconciled several times before, an argument in late 2016 had ended with Arjun walking out of their residence for the first time. “They were fighting so loudly and throwing things at each other that the neighbours threatened to complain to the police as it wasn’t the first fight of its kind. Mehr apologized profusely to them and immediately after that, Arjun moved into a five-star service apartment for a week,” the source informed.
Multiple reconciliations notwithstanding, their official statement has decidedly called time on their marriage.

When Karan Johar played the hit singles during his rocking Valentine's Day party

Karan Johar made sure his Valentine’s Day bash was attended only by his
unattached friends, throwing some interesting faces in the mix
Sanyukta Iyer (MUMBAI MIRROR; February 16, 2018)
After his last Valentine’s Day party for singles was infiltrated by friends who are married, happily committed or into casual dating, Karan Johar drew up a more exclusive guest list this year for his annual “anti-love” bash. On Wednesday evening, 50 legitimately single stars turned up for the do in all-black or white, including Sonakshi Sinha, who turned heads in a figure-hugging latex outfit a la Kim Kardashian. “Stop obsessing over me,” she told Athiya Shetty jokingly, while designer-friend Manish Malhotra gave her the thumbs-up for her “slim and glam” look.
“The turnout was lesser this year with no fake singles but there were lots of exes — Sonakshi and Bunty Sajdeh, Rhea Chakraborty and Aditya Roy Kapur, Nandita Mahtani and Dino Morea, Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi, Kiara Advani and Mustafa Burmawallah, Aditi Rao Hyadari and Farhan Akhtar — but at least they were all happily single,” a guest from the bash told Mirror, adding that the party was classy and minimalistic with banners that read, ‘Love disappoints, pizza is eternal’ and ‘Love is in the air, do not breathe’ lining the sea-facing terrace of KJo’s Bandra residence, which was lit up in yellow lights. A DJ belted out racy English and Hindi numbers while Sussanne Khan, Sophie Choudry, Neha Dhupia, Aditi and Vaani Kapoor took to the dance floor. “Sussanne is single too,” the guest added, rubbishing rumours that she is likely to remarry her actor-ex Hrithik Roshan.
Curated by the host himself, the cocktail menu was a hit with drinks named Solo, Dark Heart, Leaving You Behind, Single For Life, Lonely Planet, X-Boyfriend and Singles Paradise, with guests being asked to pick the drink they identified with the most. “Iranian actor Sajjad Delafrooz, who arrived with Manish, turned heads with his suave looks, hat and moves on the dance floor. He seems to have struck up quite a close friendship with KJo. Newbie Angira Dhar chose a see-through outfit for the occasion, while Bhumi Pednekar kept it cool and chic in a slinky number,” another guest revealed.
Konkana Sen Sharma, Rhea Pillai, Srishti Behl, Shabinaa Khan, Kim Sharma, Jackky Bhagnani, siblings Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor, Angad Bedi and producer Tanuj Garg stayed on till late with the host making sure the spirits flowed all night long.
Conspicuous by his absence was newly single Sidharth Malhotra, who was away promoting his upcoming release, Aiyaary, while also nursing a broken heart.
