MALANG collected a decent 13.25 crore nett in its second week which took its total to 51 crore nett. A 15 crore nett plus total would have been a good result for the film but the collections did drop over the second weekend as it could not collect a double digit number.

The film held steady over the weekdays which was probably helped by the rejection of LOVE AAJ KAL. MALANG was pretty risky as it had high costs for the face value and these type of films need a start. But the makers have to go away with it as the film will do a worldwide theatrical share of around 30 crore which will be recovered as other revenue sources will get 35-40 crore. The film was called a disaster on release but will have a decent little run.
