STREET DANCER fell 55% on Monday which is around 10-15% more than it should have fallen as it should have been on the other side of 50% to get a decent run. The total business of the film is 43.25 crore in four days and the week will be heading for towards the 52-53 crore nett mark.
The drop means it will struggle post the first week with the only hope being steady weekday collections and then minimal drop on the second Friday but that does look like a tall order. The theatrical performance of the film is not going to be up to the mark but unlike PANGA, this film be safe due to the non theatrical rights. The film had a 65 crore recovery from satellite, digital and music and a 18-20 crore rebate to come from UK so recovery was never an issue. But as mentioned before this is the case with most films barring very few and a theatrical performance is where the talent involved in the film get a boost.
The collections of STREET DANCER till date are as follows.
Friday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 17,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 43,25,00,000 apprx
