STREET DANCER collected poorly in its second weekend with 7.25 crore nett which takes it to 61 crore nett in ten days. The drop is around 80% from the first weekend. The film is probably looking at a 10 crore nett apprx second week total and due to low occupancy, its going to be limited screenings in week three. The film will finish in the 65-70 crore nett range and the performance is very similar to STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2 released last May.

The collections of STREET DANCER till date are as follows.
Friday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 17,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 7,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 61,25,00,000 apprx

PANGA was very poor in its second weekend with collections of under 4 crore nett. The film has just about hit the 20 crore nett mark after ten days and its looking a big struggle to hit the 25 crore nett mark. A film like JUDGEMENTALL HAI KYA did business of almost 34 crore nett despite being a non performer so that puts the business of this film into perspective.

The collections of PANGA till date are as follows..
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 4,25,00,000
Sunday - 5,50,00,000 apprx

STREET DANCER fell around 45% from Thursday as it collected 1.50 crore nett to take its total to 54 crore nett. There was no major competition but the drop was coming as the film had not been liked. There should be growth over the weekend but it does not matter that much as its fate is sealed now.

The collections of STREET DANCER till date are as follows.
Friday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 17,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Week One - 52,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 1,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 54,00,00,000 apprx

PANGA collected a poor 75 lakhs nett on its second Friday which is a drop of 30% plus and this type of film at collections at these levels should be much better. The film will not even reach 25 crore nett. Both STREET DANCER and PANGA are flop films theatrically with the difference being that STREET DANCER will cover costs with all rights while PANGA will be down 10 crore with all rights even though the costs of PANGA are half of STREET DANCER.

The collections of PANGA till date are as follows.
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 4,25,00,000
Sunday - 5,50,00,000 apprx

Street Dancer collects 52.50 cr in Week 1

Street Dancer Box Office Collection Day 6: वरुण धवन की फिल्म ने बॉक्स ऑफिस पर लगाया चौका, कमाए इतने करोड़
Box Office India Trade Network

STREET DANCER has not fared well with a low first week of 52.50 crore nett when the weekend should have really been around the 50 crore nett mark. A dance film is a risk as you only really have 50% of the Hindi markets to cater to and here they have to be really liked to compensate for other parts which don't take to dance films.

ABCD 2 got through due to very good numbers in Mumbai, South and Bengal while ABCD 1 had low costs and Maharashtra was enough and here the film has done better in the above markets but they have not taken to it. TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR has hit it in Mumbai, Nizam amd CP Berer but that will be just 10-15% and its more to do with the content not clicking where the ABCD films did. The film will probably see another drop on its second Friday even with weak competition. The film was very weak in North as Delhi/UP and East Punjab recorded dull collections.

The collections of Street Dancer 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 17,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,50,00,000 apprx

Street Dancer 3D Box Office Collection Day 4: Varun Dhawan And Shraddha Kapoor's Film Earns Over Rs 45 Crore
Box Office India Trade Network

STREET DANCER had another big drop on Tuesday as it collected 3.50 crore nett taking its total to nearly 47 crore nett and it will be a 53 crore nett first week for the film which is a poor number. The Tuesday fall means there is no chance that the film can go anywhere as the second Friday is certain to be low even if it does not drop hugely from Thursday.

The film is a major under performer but wont be a PAGALPANTI or PANIPAT even with a higher budget than those two films due to good non theatrical recovery and a UK rebate which will take it over the line as far as the makers are concerned. The writing was pretty much on the wall as the film could not collect double digits on day one though growth on Saturday and a Republic Day holiday on Sunday offered some hope but it was not to be and the audience had rejected the film.

The collections of STREET DANCER till date are as follows.
Friday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 17,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,50,00,000 apprx

Street Dancer Box Office Collection Day 5: वरुण धवन की फिल्म की पांचवें दिन ऐसी रही कमाई, किया इतना कलेक्शन
Box Office India Trade Network

STREET DANCER fell 55% on Monday which is around 10-15% more than it should have fallen as it should have been on the other side of 50% to get a decent run. The total business of the film is 43.25 crore in four days and the week will be heading for towards the 52-53 crore nett mark.

The drop means it will struggle post the first week with the only hope being steady weekday collections and then minimal drop on the second Friday but that does look like a tall order. The theatrical performance of the film is not going to be up to the mark but unlike PANGA, this film be safe due to the non theatrical rights. The film had a 65 crore recovery from satellite, digital and music and a 18-20 crore rebate to come from UK so recovery was never an issue. But as mentioned before this is the case with most films barring very few and a theatrical performance is where the talent involved in the film get a boost.

The collections of STREET DANCER till date are as follows.
Friday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 17,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx

Street Dancer 3D Box Office Collection Day 3: Republic Day Cheer Takes Varun Dhawan And Shraddha Kapoor's Film To Rs 41 Crore In Weekend 1
Box Office India Trade Network

STREET DANCER had a fair weekend as it collected 39 crore nett though this is less than ABCD 2 which collected 46 crore nett. If the film was called ABCD 3, it would have probably done the weekend business of ABCD 2 or even a little more. The film jumped well at single screens and smaller multiplexes on Sunday as it was Republic Day but it would have been a better result if this holiday had fallen on another day rather than Sunday.

The best collections for the film are in Mumbai and Nizam/Andhra and they could have been better if it was not for TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR which is so strong in these parts. This can be seen with the collections of Nizam/Andhra and STREET DANCER has done well in Nizam where TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR is not so good but in Marathwada, where TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR is extraordinary, STREET DANCER does not have collections like in Nizam. The test for the film is the weekdays and it cannot afford to have the normal drops.

The film has to show better than normal trending on the weekdays.

Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx

STREET DANCER collected 12.50 crore nett on its second as it jumped around 30% and this is good growth for a film that is not collecting that well in the bigger multiplexes. The film could have easily been flat or just 10% growth as a higher ratio of business is coming from places which don't grow much on a Saturday.

Despite the growth on Saturday, the overall collections of the film are on the lower side but it has the big Republic Day on Sunday to get good growth and get a decent weekend on the board and then its about the weekday business. The film has been hit by TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR across Mumbai, CP Berar and Nizam/Andhra. Though these circuits are better if we compare with North they would actually have good collections if TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR was not so strong.

The two figure is 22 crore nett and the target will be to get close to that 40 crore nett mark in the weekend which would be a decent result especially considering the Friday numbers.

Friday - 9,50,00,000
Saturday - 12,50,00,000

Street Dancer collects 9.50 cr on Day 1; Panga collects 2 cr

STREET DANCER had average collections on day one of 9.50 crore nett and it should have done better as ABCD 2 collected more a few year back. This film is a franchise of that film but another name had to be used due to IPR. So that takes a little shine of the film but that should have been compensated by the growth in business since 2015.

The film has not fared too well at the bigger multiplexes but is decent in some mass pockets. The better collections are in Mumbai and South but they should have been better here due to it being a dance film. Also, these markets are traditionally better for dance films even if we go back to 1982 when DISCO DANCER released. Mumbai and South contribution is well over 50% of the business.

North India has not done well but that was sort of expected though ABCD 2 did manage some decent collections while ABCD 1 was a dud in North. In fact, ABCD 2 is probably the only dance film in history to get some decent numbers in North. It remains to be seen what sort of growth the film can get on Saturday and considering the bigger multiplexes are low, they have potential to grow a lot but the content may not be for these big multiplexes. Sunday should be good as its Republic Day and it should get a boost but even that will probably mean an average weekend and then the fate hanging on the weekdays.

PANGA has done poor business of around 2 crore nett as it got sandwiched between STREET DANCER and TANHAJI: THE UNSUING WARRIOR. The film got a release of around 1500 screens but that is not really important when its unlikely to find an audience with a strong holdover and a more audience friendly newer release for competition. The film will need to at least double its collections on Saturday but even then, a 4 crore nett total is what the film should be doing on day one.
